Seriously, the best opening match they could have or what? The two (three technically...) teams no doubt communicated and set it up just for the viewers. Honestly, IM doesn't even use their top players in team leagues any more, so WHY NOW?

Might be the new format. Presumably since score is now a factor and not just winning, IM won't dick around as much with giving their rookies experience, IM beat FXO but only with a 4-2, whereas Startale and Prime have 4-0s and are ahead of IM.

Though tbh, MVP isn't necessarily one of their top players in team league. Still decent though. They should have started with Squirtle if they wanted the best results imo(AxiomAcer seems profoundly weak to toss and Squirtle is sick). Who knows though, maybe MVP is feeling beast today and killing it in the house rankings. Plus it's better for the viewers :D

Well the Axiom players are good friends with the IM coach as well as many of their players, but as far as I'm concerned IM are just like "y'know what? We ain't fuckin around".

AxiomAcer seems profoundly weak to toss

Don't mean to alarm you but Alicia kinda crushes any Protoss thrown at him, including Squirtle, as seen in the IPL6 qualifier where he won and only dropped one map.

2-0 Squirtle
2-0 Creator
2-1 Tails
2-0 Tear

So yeah, I'd say we have Protoss handled

I think Mvp asked to play first because he's not in Code S or A currently, if he was this wouldn't happen.

That is quite likely, since they are so concerned about showing their "special tactics" just for a team league. I'm really interested in seeing how Scarlett performs versus MVP since she has far less HotS experience than many other people. MMA 3-0'd her in Ritmix for a brutal teamkill. We'll just have to see!

Also, thanks for sharing TB. Didn't know any of the players had ties with any of the other teams at all. Hope everyone in Axiom has easy access to practice partners!
