Holy shit...just got done with finals...
wtf Yoda. Makes code S AGAIN (besting MKP in WoL), rolls his group at IEM, beats PartinG, beats MVP, utterly destroys First, and finally earns a fanclub on TL.
He may not have a gsl title, but he's earned the right to finally be called a Jedi Master :p. I think he took MVP's job of getting Terran nerfed too xD

Went to sleep right after the Finals, thank god for IEM or I would have gone to sleep after game1 of GSL ZvZ fiasco. Even if HOTS is not even out yet the play is so entertaining and the top players at IEM sure showed how much better HOTS is. And the play is high as well and can't be compared to the begging of WoL, everyone pretty much sucked back then. ^^
Thanks IM for the top 4 and the play, even if First looked to be lacking a bit in vT ^^

Yoda did make a few in his game 4 vs PartinG when he was pushing 3rd of PartinG and used them as meatshield vs the zealots. But I think overall, Ts are still not using them in bio comps. I think the reason is their speed. Althought their nature speed is the same, marines and marauders have stim so if you stim forward, your hellbats will actually block you. So it really makes your bio less mobile.

Seriously though I can't wait for Protoss and Zerg to get some more games under their belts. I'd like to see some more oracle play, some more poking out and recalling, some more swarm hosts, more burrow play, etc etc etc.
So far the Medivac Play and Widow Mine play we've been seeing from Terran is awesome and so much more enjoyable to watch. I'd like to see some more Swarm Host play. I know Ret was doing it against protoss, but it'll be interesting to see how (or if) zerg incorporate them into their army compositions. reactive play always develops slower than the aggressive plays (because it hasn't been mapped out yet). Remember when two oracles each got 1shot by widow mines? The units that took a huge investment in gas and tech vs. a unit from a factory that would get made anyway? Oracles are useless against widow mines, which are easily the best unit in the game. I'm not saying First should have beaten Yoda- Yoda was clearly the better player, his multi-pronged harassment and splits vs. storms were insane. But putting a widow mine in your mineral line and being immune to everything shouldn't work- the widow mine splash should be enough to oneshot SCV's. That would make the unit take a little more thought to use. well I haven't watched the games
but if 2 oracles are being oneshot... then you were clumping them up a lot
you could make the same argument like that of any aoe

They're not nearly as good as everyone makes them out to be imo.
Also, I guess this makes Yoda one of the favorites for the upcoming GSL season.

So I'm hoping to catch up on some of these games later, but there's no recommended games in the OP. What's worth watching at least from Ro12 onwards? Was thinking of watching at least the semis and finals.

Yoda vs Parting, watch that.

Who woulda thunk, kneejerk reactions about a game that's still in beta might prove to be wrong x_x
This is why i'm hoping that Blizz will at least wait a while after MLG before pushing through changes.

Theyre great with mech against protoss. Only problem is that mech still is much worse than bio vs protoss (it seems), so why bother? :p

Purebred Kespa players generally don't participate in IEM events. So your first post is made invalid by your second. What was the point again except the obvious Kespa crap? The point is: People like you fall for a bait of a guy who have MVP as team :-P

Did the promised David Kim interview happen, and if yes, is it uploaded somewhere yet?

It absolutely happened. Couldn't tell you where to find it though It was on stream.

It's streamed right now! http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_sc2 (rebroadcast)
David Kim said he considers now all 3 races "complete" (the way in WoL it was said only terran looked "complete").

I just noticed that Yoda has replaced Symbol because of Code S finals. He almost wasn't even there

Whelp, IM won't be losing sponsors anytime soon. One of the craziest tourney results I've seen.

Do they even have space left on their shirt for a new logo ? Doubtful.

Terrans were always forced to come up with solutions against new Z/P styles in WoL but whenever the shoe was on the other foot, Blizzard stepped in right away and forced change with all the finesse of a jackhammer when they should've been using a scalpel.
