It was just Fantasy getting better and Flash losing some of his form at the same moment. Fanta vs Flash, both in best shape, one against each other would be still a great Bo5 (with Flash having upper hand)

Fantasy was ALWAYS better at micro and winning small scale battles, Flash always relied on his over-all game plan and trying to get ahead by making ridiculously risky plays. It was true in the MSL semis and it's true when he lost 0-3. SC2 is almost entirely dependent on winning the clutch small scale battles because your entire army is in alot less places now, I don't see Flash's play style which depends on a steady methodical time frame transferring nearly as well as fantasy's play style :/. You can apply the same logic to Bisu, the tempo of his multitasking in BW was almost perfect, put that in SC2 and it doesn't even matter because the tempo is completely off.

I have an all-in KT fpl team but it's not about "taking a leap of faith" but about wanting to cheer for them more and trusting them to put out good results. It's up to you whether to believe "some magical reason" or the fact that they simply can win more. Hello fine folks, since you are way too serious about this, allow me to explain myself : This isn't a serious post, I'm just a jealous person bitching around ><' Since you look surprised (and have more than 2k posts on TL) I think you are fairly new to the LR in this part of the forum, that's usually how I post when something really surprise me. KT had none of its player qualified to the last 2 GSL, nor did they qualify for OSL. They were literally unknown. That being said, there is nothing wrong with being a fanboy as long as you can admit you are biased. Had you read my post in the FPL thread, you would have known that I choose my team based on people I would support in the future. Enjoy the rest of PL ![]()

Obviously, they are different players compare to Flash and Fantasy. But it shows that slightly superior micro might not always win vs better overall game plan in SC2.

Exactly. Fantasy has a small advantage now. I think we all remember that unbelievable 5 game MSL series where Flash won 3-2. Best TvT series of all-time in Broodwar. And then Fantasy coming back in the last OSL and 3-0 Flash with a "new" no dropship style play.

As I was never interested in BW, and I wouldn't endorse the hunchback monster that was hybrid PL. Sea didn't have any Bo3 prior to his recruitment and the hype around him was mostly due to him switching to TL. As for Bisu, he did play a few SC 2 matches and didn't strike me as being ace material. Let's say I may have underestimate the impact of having a good team spirit and environment for something as volatile as Bo1 non-KotH style.

They were both monsters in PL but Sea didn't do well in individual leagues and Bisu in OSL qualifying. And I think same is true for SC2 as well. Some players just perform better in team leagues. Think of players like Yonghwa.

Yeah and both were manhandled by Jangbi during that period. Does it mean anything now? Fantasy won the first battle. The real war is yet to start though...
