YES EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE IS AT FAULT I blame god for creating the universe which is at fault. Kespa hates god is what it is.
How can KeSPA hate one of its own? I would expect a smarter comment from a guy with a KT logo.

I think EG-TL compares well in depth to any Kespa team. But the comparative advantage of say, Hero and Stephano over Stats and Crazy-Hydra, is not going to be enough to win them games consistently (this is ignoring the possilbity that the Kespa players will improve to the point that Hero and Stephano don't look that good). To win, EG-TL is going to need a strong ace, so it's really all going to come down to Taeja. If Taeja gets really hot again, then the unholy alliance will prosper. If not, then they will do well to be average.

The actual truth is that this is pretty hard to evaluate right now, since most PL players have played a small sample of relevant matches (Against code S level players). All we know is that Hero and taeja are pretty damn good at SC2.
and you could stop looking at results when most of these players didn't even play in many tournaments so ofcourse they haven't done anythint notable.
if you actualyl would look at the gameplay (if u can do that dunno if you get what is going on there) you would see that there are enough people that can go toe to toe with hero/taeja.
but i will love it when hero comes back and plays his first game and will get rolled. i already see the comments "oh he choking. his nerves. big issues".
oh and iam sure every KeSPA team will snipe these players 2 hell.

How many times are people going to say "This is Proleague, not MLG." Really that makes no sense to say. Second, the question is for a 1-2 punch and you listed more than 2 players for every team except Samsung Khan, plus you listed a player not on the roster for Team 8 (lol). You also apparently didn't realize that a lot of those players you listed aren't as good as HerO/Taeja. GG
"This is Proleague, not MLG." sounds sooo cool to say and shitting on mlg is kind of a thing.. makes me sick -.-

It was only one game and EGTL was missing their best players. But after all the hype and exaggeration of the unholy alliance/JD it ended up being four absolutely one-sided games. Also KT just looked absolutely in control and self confident to the max...

For the people with proleague experience, how often would you say the matches come down to the ace-match?

If you could actually read you would know that I already considered the fact that most of these players haven't played enough matches to make a fully argumented opinion. And gameplay-wise, due to the same fact, most of KeSPA players have shown NOTHING to make me think they are on par with HerO/Taeja, except for the obvious (Rain, Roro sometimes, Bogus, Flash at moments, SK a while back but no longer, Fantasy and Effort), the rest of them have mostly shown code B/low A level play at most.

KT was favored to win today. I don't know how anyone could have honestly predicted otherwise. FlaSh has been pretty damn good, and Zenio has fallen off for a while in addition to nerves. Wooki v JYP is a semi-coinflip match, and there is next to nothing for JYP to study of Wooki's. I must say though that I respect JYP as a player. ThorZain has, imo, been unimpressive both lately and against Koreans. Combine that with him just moving to Korea. He's in the process of moving and settling in. Again, ThorZain doesn't really have any way to study Action. Jaedong has looked poor in SC2, especially against Protoss. Stats has looked decent. Good if you compare him to other KeSPA players. He also had shown strong play against Zerg. Combine that with an Immortal/Sentry all-in on Ohana... We didn't get to see the final two matches, so who knows what would have happened. I believe Huk had a decent chance at winning, but I still favor CH. My predicted outcome of this match is not based on much more than a hunch. Mind v Puma was also anybody's game. Who knows how good Mind is, and Puma had surgery. I don't know how Puma is currently doing.
Stop bickering about how the best EGTL players were not there. It doesn't make this loss (or win) nugatory. Expect EGTL players to travel semi-frequently for MLG/IPL/DH... Don't expect them to win this PL.
|
Come on Bisu, I believe in you
|
meh, I'm not gonna take this match as having any long-term consequences. too many outside variables at play for any meaningful analysis beyond KT meeting (and in many ways surpassing) expectations.

Well... for the hybrid league it came to ace match alot for other reasons. For BW it does often come down to ace match, or at least 4-2.
