Really dont like the pure bio style on this map. Since its so big zerg can get a pretty good eco up and do a good bust like this and it is really difficult to stop without tanks.

You don't ever want to go pure bio against ling/bane/muta, he was assuming infestor play which this is supposed to be good against, lots of medivacs + marauders.

I meant just 1 fact. Siege tanks for defense. You can still be aggressive with your bio while leaving the tanks behind. If they attack just fall back to your tanks.

I really hate this match up right now. ZvT seems way too easy and every top Terran is having visible trouble against Zerg. When it comes to the idea of Terran being an unforgiving race in the match up, it's because Zerg can instantaneously dump all their excess resources into units while Terran must already have the infrastructure--- and even so they might have to queue--- in order to produce units. It seemed to me like Polt didn't have enough dps against the muta ling bling. Tank splash is always good against that comp no? Going tanks always gives mobility issues but that didn't stop terrans from going marine tank against zergs.

He was assuming Infestor play and a fast Hive, Bio with lots of medivacs is good against Infestors if you have good splits.
Siege tanks become useless once BL's are out.
I honestly can't see any other reason he wouldn't get tanks, you always want tanks against ling/bane.

It seemed like a specific build Polt had in mind. Polt usually just turtles on three base and then does a slow push with MMM and tanks. I think Monster delaying that third base forever really fucked up Polt's build or whatever he was going for. He also lost a good chunk of army to the mutas outta nowhere when he probably expected infestors.

no he joined as a player, he coached once because the main MVP coach was not in town for one GSTL match.
Sangho does seem like he would make an awesome coach though. I recall reading a bunch of player interviews where MVP players thanked him for the support and all that.

He was already staying at the MVP house during his time with CoL so it was kind of a no brainer for him to stay with MVP.

Yeah, it's free units vs free units, but I think that makes it cooler and really intense battles, given the fact no one is really sure who's going to win. Plus it's like slow positional sieges that broodlords can do, and then the fact both armies are slow opens the game up to game-changing ling runby's and infestor drop harrass/burrow harass.

I enjoy it, normally pretty boring games to get to that end game tho.
I really believe that these new maps look really good, and really help diminish the effect any potential late game imbalance has on the particular match.
For example, it offers skilled players the ability to get huge concaves vs late game deathballs, or maneuever around the map and avoid them entirely. Likewise, the very nature of the spaced map lends itself to still being able to get to late game with good positioning.

Put this match on Antiga and it imediately is less exciting because it will always end 4th base vs attempted 4th base with a battle around the middle.
This map could end short with a well engaged push, it could go very long with constant roach hydra infestor trades(i love scrappy roach hydra fights), it could even get into ultras/broodlords, the possibilities <3<3<3

Inca is a rather weird comparison to make, he was basically the "loldt's" coinflip master that always got the best side of the coin against favored opponents whilst Sniper is just a solid standard zerg player with really good control.
I remember when Inca played bomber and he went 3 nexus off of 1 gate with bomber making a turret and turtling up on 2 bases lol, sickest mindgames.

I loved the symbol we saw in Symbol v. Mkp where he went mass nydus late game, and the symbol we saw when he was going ultra ling bane(just a few ultra) into regular ZvP, but nowadays your right, it's just typical zerg late game with the small inspiration a progamer provides.
Ugh, Sniper. He is a good player, don't get me wrong. But I will forever be an anti-fan for completely arbitrary reasons such as making a girl cry, knocking out the cuddliest player in GSL, and now eliminating Team Polt. For me, he has already exceeded Hyperdub and Shine levels of anti-fandom.
But that was a well-played ZvZ from him nonetheless. I hope DRG can regain his form soon.
I guess I have more reason to hate Sniper more :/ I wanted to really see TSL in a GSTL finals for once, especially with their best line-up of all-time really which could have went to the finals. Sad, but I prefer Polt/HyuN in NASL if they make it to the Ro8. Maybe my revenge will come anyways, MVP is guaranteed a second-place finish behind ST/FXO if the whole TSL curse is consistent.

Yeah. He's always been a very good ZvZ player besides the very beginning of his career. A lot of people seemed to have overlooked how much he did for MVP in the GSTL last season. I was really disappointed when DRG was sent out as the ace against FXO instead of Sniper considering Sniper was 10-1 in the GSTL that season. Sniper might have beaten Leenock then, too
