That was the last game... You could have uhm... Stopped watching? He does this ALL THE DAMN TIME. It's getting really...REALLY old. Yes, how dare he try his utmost and get sad and desperate when he really wants to win. It's poor sportsmanship. I thought the SC2 community was all about sportsmanship, guess not! How is it poor sportsmanship. Are you saying that in a soccer game, a team should just forfeit when they're down 3-0 and there's 20 minutes left? SHould they just stop playing? Where the hell are you taking this logic from? Having one cc,down half the supply is equal to being down 3-0 with 20 mins left in a football game?I don't think so. There are plenty of examples football and basketball where there is still time on the clock and players just choose to not play it out because the obviously lost. You're talking about MarineKing, known for being one of few that can make so much out of so little. Nothing is every over as long as these pros are still trying. The analogy still stands. In football and basketball giving up before the timer runs out is bad sportsmanship, is it not? If I recall, there was one game where it was MVP vs Leenock (think it was the Jjajki vs Leenock finals season?) and MVP was so clearly dead on Dual sight but never gave up and looked so incredibly strong despite having nothing (3 marine attack at 40 mins or something if i recall?). Granted he probably wouldn't have win in that situation but I don't recall people crying bad sportsmanship over it. If you're going to hate a player, fine, bring it out into the open, I have no quarrel against that but stop trying to make your attacks sound like they're legitimate especially when so many people on the LR are against you. I feel the same way every time a player refuses to leave in a clearly lost situation. MKP is just the most consistent offender. I agree that MKP does this more often than other players but this does no go any where beyond personal opinion and perception. If this really was "incredibly BM and really stupid to watch" then tomorrow we'll see GOMTV penalizing MKP for poor sportsmanship or some other reason they can come up with. If they don't then taking back some of the rather blatant comments about "SC2 community and sportsmanship" would be something you might want to consider.
Nah
Though maybe I should have clarified that the community picks and chooses when it cares about sportsmanship. Example: Crank/Naniwa "incident" recently when there have been many similar circumstances that no one gave a #&@^ about.

Thanks for your effort and dedication, opterown. Data caps suck. (Well, the Australian ones anyways.) Maybe someday (National broadband thing?) you'll be able to get rid of them.
MKP. Next season. Keep trying, you'll get there. You're still a champion to all your fans.
*sigh* I guess now I'll have to be fully on board the Hyun train. And the semis/finals are going to be at an IPL event, sooo... IPL HYUN FIGHTING!
Poor MKP...

i will be back for IPL/GSL/GSLWC!! :D hope i can get over today's results by then lol

No IM players left in GSL, but I wonder what would happen if you LRed an IM player playing, lol. They'd probably drop dead in the booth, or retire the day after. :D

Not surprised the best tvter won.

I liked the gg timing in the last game and I was slightly mad at Tastosis for repeating how dead he is. Yes, we can see it. Even if this was the first SC2 ever you watched, you probably understand that he is dead and also you can probably acknowledge something after you are told it twice, no need to repeat it five times...
The way he fought until the bitter end and then danced the marines, it was just so cool - MKP is one of the few players that are really emotional (not just awkward or trying to be interesting) and I think it really makes it look like something is happening, instead of gging at a random time. This was not your random Ro32 1st match, this was the bloody Ro8 before the bloody VEGAS finals!
All an all, I was a little disapointed in both series todat. They both took off in a very interesting way, but at the end, it seemed to me that both losing players tilted so much. Creator not only completely botched the all-in in the last game but he also did some very poor decisions in the carrier-phase of the superlong game, when he not only did not have enough preoduction structures, but he also failed to abuse the immobility of BLs fully, threw away units without effect (yes, he was supposed to throw them away, but he could have done something with them) and also microed very poorly in the actual engagement, where he just refused the spread the units out and got fungaled to death. And MKP? Not only he lost so much to two marines, but he hjas shown too much indecisivnes in many situation. Man, I love when he plays like he plays and it works, all these infinitely cute actions that Artosis never believes that they will do any good ... but when it doesn't work it is so, so painful to watch.
Anyway, there were some pretty good games today, definitiely glad to have watched.

lol. we should penalize players for leaving the game too early and too late. They should have a tab of team liquid open so they can read when they should leave

MKP might be a bigger name and better overall than Ryung, but I've said so many times that this matchup favors Ryung. It was not an upset at all and the games really showed why

He's quickly becoming my favorite player to watch when he's on top of his game, although it will be tough against I'm guessing Leenock in the semis unless Snipers upsets tomorrow. Lots of people don't like TvT's but I'm still hoping Bogus-Ryung finals
