Koreans always dominate everything so long as they're not massive outnumbered.

Why do you even watch Sc2 if you get bored by Koreans always winning?

Well to be honest it is probably many that don´t because of it, few things are hurting the expansion of SC2 as much as the Korean dominance.

Parting who played so awful just a few days ago finishing up last in Code S group D manages to win $100,000? Where's Leenock, MVP, Bogus, Soulkey, MarineKing, Ryung, Life, Sniper?

The problem with this world championship is that the format is so long. Players that were at their best months ago may be at their worst now. Maybe it would be better to run all the national qualifiers through a span of a single month, and have the finals just two weeks after the national qualifiers.

The biggest thing hurting the expansion of the game is the fact that the game isn't really fun to play for normal people.

It's not really TL per-say that makes these threads, it's other people. I'm pretty sure the OP here doesn't make the GSL threads, so he didn't make them the same. Which is unfortunate, because he really should have thought about spoilers...

No need to call him an asshole, though.

This tournament was pathetic. Lag, sound issues, streams dying, no player reactions, and too little variety in terms of match-ups and gameplay. The only thing this had going for it was the prize pool. Grats to Parting, but Blizzard failed massively with their own tournament.

this is true. imagine if koreans didnt play. game would only have two races. still balanced huh? lol

every now and then a random foreign zerg making a deep run is what blizzard must be happy about given the popularity of this game. koreans love LoL and also have some pro style teams for fps but THEY DO NOT dominate tournaments even though they train 8 hours a day. why? because the foreign LoL and fps guys train 8 plus hours as well.

lets face it, most of foreign sc2 pros are part timers. u will say stephano doesnt practice but hes a salaried progamer not going to school, this is his job. maybe a handful of foreigners like grubby play 8+ hours but that is a small amount. its unfair to put the pressure on a handful of foreigners when you compare them to a hundred full time koreans in which a few unique players will rise due to mechanics being near maxed out and even. then those players with that extra something start standing out.

i find it digusting part time patchzergs stand a chance against full time pros. but hey since foreigners dont like this game and dont play as much, blizz doesnt mind because its good given the declining scene.

the games most people like and foreigners will train for are team games. maybe blizz should move in that direction.
