Pewma just went and lost to Monster.

Metropolis? RIP Thorzain.

Metropolis means DRG wins if he manages to dodge Seeker Missiles.

Puma is already down. Also, it's not like you can add them up.
I wonder who's ace. I feel like Idra might wind up coming out, his ZvZ is beastly of late.

His build was completely aimed towards overpowering mech in midgame, he can't just switch to a lategame focused build at will.
Thorzain's early hellions decided that game imo. This switching back and forth between roaches and mutas vs mech is an old and strong way of dealing with mech, but it's very momentum-based. If you ever let the T stabilise, you're stuck with mediocre upgrades and bad tech vs a maxed mech army. You don't really have the time to get your drone count back up, then continue with the attack and you don't have the larvae for it either.
I missed early game, but it seems odd Monster would continue with 2/2 ling upgrades while going roach muta. Lings help out a lot, but they're not the main component of that style.

Why not?
If not, then it'll probably be Idra. That'll be interesting.
Or Incontrol will take it with his token cannon rush into mass void ray.
Or Demuslim, who has a habit of beating top Koreans and losing to randoms. Or Machine, who is Machine. Or LzGamer, who I'm not even sure is registered for IPL.

Lol well GG EG. Thorzain better pull out his best cheese, because no way he beats DRG in a macro game.
You just got your wish.

Love this Sonic the Hedgehog-esque music. Much more original and fun than boring ol' dubstep all the time. Not that dubstep is bad, just every single background music nowadays around esports is dubstep. So this is cool. And anything that reminds me of Sonic is all about awesome.
Love how Thorzain and Stephano, EG's top two foreigner hopes, are the ones owning all the koreans. JYP and Puma are deadweight. I never see them win anything anymore even in team leagues.... Puma wins every now and again, but when is the last time JYP won? Even in MCSL I see them losing to really good foreigners, not top tier foreigners tho.
I hope teams take this as precedent and realize that... Korean doesn't always equate to better. Especially when they're players who win quite a bit for a short period of time like JYP. I just hope they aren't paying out the ass for JYP and Puma.... because frankly they don't bring in much hype compared to the other EG heavy hitters.

Did a decent amount of economic damage despite killing barely anything. Forced Lings instead of Drones.

Remains to be seen. He did no damage, and the "soft damage" of the 5 whole drones that weren't made isn't enough to offset the absurdly late expo and tech. In addition, Thorzain now has no map control, so DRG can drone to his heart's content if he wants.

JYP did pretty well in Code S. If you consider getting Ro16 good, but in this Code S that's like winning an EU tournament.
