The time has come for the Premier group matches of the IGN Pro Team League!
Group A Schedule: Liquid vs EG: September 11
SlayerS vs MVP: September 18
Liquid vs MVP: September 25
SlayerS vs EG: October 2
SlayerS vs Liquid: October 9
MVP vs EG: October 16
When: Tuesday, Oct 16 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
Premier Division Group A is made up of four teams: Team Liquid, SlayerS, MVP, and Evil Geniuses. Group B contains LG-Incredible Miracle, StarTale, Prime, and TSL. Both groups will play round robin against each other team in their group. When group stages are over, the top two teams from each Group will play in a playoff for the $9,000 first prize!

DRG looks to be back on track for this one after OSL, also Vampire just survived a crazy Muta spamming Hyun, I can easily see Stephano losing to one of these guys.
Then there are always guys like Sniper, Monster and Keen to clean up the rest of the field.
Cant see EG taking this one, as the opposite side posess too much depth.

Enormous playoff implications in this one. Either of these teams could be out with a loss, depending on the result, SlayerS could advance or not.

I think EG will take there first loss. MVP looks good right now. And depending on when the games were played there is a chance Stephano won't be playing his ban and all. Ether way I don't think it looks to good for EG.

what are the tie breakers exactly? Especially if MVP, SlayerS and EG all end up 2-1? Total map score? Cause if so, EG would just need to win 2 games to secure top 2.

MVP would be favourites even with Stephano competing, but he is suspended so is unlikely to play. So without Stephano I predict an easy win for MVP.

To those asking in the thread
1) Stephano is the starter in this match.
2) Tie breakers for groups are first head to head (for 2 way tie) then if 3 way tie, total map score.

MVP will tear up EG if they play their cards right (Monster, Sniper, KeeN, DRG, finale)

If EG wins then EG and Slayers will advance.
If EG gets all-killed then Slayers and MVP advance. If EG loses but takes at least 1 map then, MVP and EG advance. EG has tie breaker over Slayers.

Stephano as starter... I don´t man, smells like a textbook snipe incoming. Then again, Stephano is the bring-it-type, so he´s gonna handle it. I hope Thorzain and Keen meet, shit would get epic!

Stephano would destroy Vampire in a normal match...saying that he survived a crazy Muta spamming Hyun has nothing to do with this scenarion because:
1.Stephano is better than Hyun in ZvP.
2.Stephano almost never goes Mutas...
But yeah, stupid move by EG to send in Stephano at a starter, they'll keep sending Zergs until he loses...
But hey, Stephano can still lose to Vampire(and something tells me that you already know the result.)

I guess that's why they're opening with Stephano, MVP often like to keep their big guns like sniper in the background and let some of their lower players run around before bringing him or DRG out so grab two wins against someone like tails and sC and get through.

I'm glad Stephano will be playing this match. Without him, it will definitely be tough for EG. If Huk or JYP can do a good job of backing him up, EG might still go far.

These games were played a month ago according to Stephano's match history on NA server(i suppose they were played on NA since Stephano was staying in Eu at that time)...
