Bomber did a lot of drops but did not really do too much damage except deny mining from the 4th for a while. He damaged the 4th Hatch but failed to kill it. He attacked an extractor in the main but failed to kill it. He attacked the Ultralisk Cavern but failed to kill it. He attacked that clump of Overlords in the main but failed to kill them and so on. He was spending resources on those drops without really achieving much from them. When those Ultras arrived he did not have enough tanks/marauders to deal with them.
Violet's drop defence, creep spread and flank attacks/battle management won him that second game.

hahaha that lottery was so awkward xP jesus this production is rather edgy. atleast violet vs bomber was really good!

I found that bomber was good at holding his own and macroing up his army, but not successful enough in trying to harass violet and he didn't have a late game plan. By the end, Violet had good map control, extra mobility with creep and a superior force. He simply had a better set up than bomber while maintaining an economic advantage.

*Cough* Medivacs *Cough*
Just played better than Bomber, no need to hate Violet he played better and won convincingly because of that.

Drops did alot of damage, violet had a hard time dealing with them. Yeah creep spread was good but thats to be expected. Both players macro very solid. Yea now that i think of it Violet is very good at flanking. Money fungals? He fungals bombers units... There is no such thing as "amazing fungals" that the casters always scream about.

In the morning, there was debris EVERYWHERE.
Too bad the only notable thing that I did during that visit was meet my ex and get beat up by Beastyqt's team in the first round of a 4v4 TL Open tournament.

It's kind of hard to do while you are dropping in 2 places, doing drop micro, sieging/un-sieging tanks, all while trying to push the middle of map.
And all Violet had to really do was fungal, and a-move lings to clean up drop. To me it doesn't look like Bomber is just throwing the game away, it's looks more like he has just given up trying

Oh my bad, i thought you genuinely wanted to know why Violet won, didn't realize you just wanted to start a balance discussion.

OK, folks I am calling it a night. I will predict that Ret, Sheth, theSTC and Thorzain progress in the First Round of LB. I'll check in tomorrow to see whether there were upsets or not.
