Standard LR rules apply: No balance whining, no KeSPA vs. GomTV inciting, no excessive derailing ESPECIALLY when games are on. This is not a thread for you to argue with other people. |
I'm so conflicted, I've loved Mvp ever since I found the GSL, and I'm so incredibly impressed by Rain and I want him to join the hall of legends.
My head says Rain has the advantage because TvP is a match that requires huge APM from the Terran, but with all of my heart I want Mvp to win it all once again. I'm also mindful of the fact that Rain has never played against a player of Mvp's caliber in the GSL. TaeJa and Polt are certainly in that pantheon of Terran gods, but they aren't THE savior of Terran.
Either way it will be a great match; either way I will win and I will lose.
glhf gentlemen.

50% of the kespa code s seeds made it to ro4, ignore what happened to the other 50%!

Let's go Mvp, you have another Next Protoss Bonjwa to kill.

MVP will study Rain vs Last BO7 to the max. More importantly will Rain menage to beat 2 terrans in long BO5/7.

I reeeeaaally hope it's on thursday or I'll litterally miss all of it... that's because OP and TL calendar is actually all done by me, lol. hopefully i'm right! ;p gomtv.net says Wednesday, so liquipedia is wrong.
The problem seems to stem from the GomTV post about schedule change. They kind of messed up and confused everyone.

Contrary to BW, a Woongjin Terran will triumph....
Come on MVP, fuck that noob up :D
+ Show Spoiler +I just want good games :D

These should be some absolutely amazing matches! I hope TaeJa and Rain will duke it out in the finals :D

By.Sun: All: 31-31 (50.00%) | Last 10 (old -> recent): W L W L L W W W W W
Game on!! Meaning what...
Well MVP obviously sucked in BW, and Sun/Rain was pretty good. If Rain wins, then it means MVP's level of play isn't that good after all and may actually be just as bad as he was in BW. Then ESF players have a problem next GSL when KeSPA pros have fully practiced...
Also, MVP vs Flash record in BW was 1-6, so I can't wait to see those two go head to head in SC2.

BW skill =/= SC2 skill.

If you vote against Mvp, you hate freedom. I don't care what anyone says, you hate freedom. End of story.
Mvp 3:2 Rain.

?____? jaedong and roro in the same sentence in terms of BW skill?? ouch! (or are you saying they're pretty good at sc2?)
But to be honest, the BW pros who will probably end up being best at SC2 are those who (a) were up-and-coming and (b) actually care enough about SC2 to want to succeed. See: Sun, Last, Flying, etc.

and yeah, i agree. the up/coming new BW players probably will do the best at SC2 as well ;p

SC2 is a different game. People need to stop assuming that because these guys were awesome at one game, they'll automatically be better than everybody else at this game. Grubby and Moon were absolutely amazing WC3 players, are they doing as well in SC2 as they were before? No. They're still amazing players at this game but nowhere close to the success they had before. It's just a different game.

Although this is true, it won't be a direct transfer of skill level. IE. Bisu > Rain in BW will mean Bisu > Rain in SC2. However, the correlation will be greater than WC3 since SC2 is much closer to BW. This is seen in arcade fighter pro scene. Players that do will in SF series also does well in Capcom series since they are much similiar compare to something like Tekken. Some players have transfer successfully from Tekken to SF but not as much as the Capcom vs Marvel players.

My head says Rain, but my gut says MVP. That man defies logic when he sits in the GSL studio.

Life > Rain > Taeja > MVP

If MVP can get to Antiga he should have a great chance of winning this, but getting there is going to be very difficult.

I totally read the preview in Grubby's voice, haha! So much wisdom.
Go go By.Rain!
