I don't understand why Zergs just don't just run back when they get force fielded like that but have no units trapped inside..... just wait for the forcefield to go away and go in and surround.

It would have helped a lot of Coca brought a second queen and then used both to target down the warp prism during the big battle, he let his queen auto attack onto random protoss units instead of trying to get the warp prism.
also, baneling drops wreck this build. of course you can't suddenly pull out banelings with drop so you need to know this is coming really early.

you can also counter with roach/ling while teching up to mutas and sac your third while defending main/natural with a bunch of spines.

he should've known it was coming, he saw the really quick 1 gate robo and sentries. if he sacked an overlord he definitely would've known it was coming.

Which Finale did a good job of preventing by faking he was looking to take a fast third, shame the casters wrote this off as being indecisive...

well he did know it was coming and he did a good job delaying to get a crapton of roaches. as soemone said his problem was not getting the warp prism in time so there actually were like 2 rounds of warp ins.
+ you know sentries have been inducing balance cries since forever cause they be op meng

He knew it was coming too late to add tech to deal with it though, and seeing a robo and some sentries doesn't guarantee an allin, plenty of korean toss go immortal/sentry expand.

Hehe yeah casters missed that. It was obvious it was a fake, for me anyways, since i saw his game against JD earlier ^^

Probably wouldnt have mattered because he had a pylon down anyways. The forcefields were good, but they weren't that good because they trapped no units inside, Coca was just being an idiot and a-moved his units into a force field wall, having his units die slowly.
He already had gotten the infenstation pit - he should've gotten a few infestors, imo. Even without the energy upgrade, just 2 or so would've helped so much vs all those sentries
edit: or just what buck said, that's pretty good advice
that was a newbie mistake by Miya.... you cannot skip the baneling nest for fast speed if your opponent doesn't expand...
He got his ramp block in time, if he had immediatly built a baneling nest with 50 gas, he could have morphed 2 banes at the top of his ramp to kill pretty much the attack and end up ahead.

He's got above average PvZ. He can probably beat Monster, and you might as well as let him have a go at DRG or Sniper if MVP decide to play them next, if not, you still have other picks.
That probably was one of the worst ways to handle Mutas I've ever seen.... No Archons, no storms, no continued phoenix production + upgrade, just blink stalkers which always end up fighting outside of his wall for some strange reason.
Disappointing reaction by brown all in all (though I must admit i was betting he'd loose from the second I saw him open stargate, haven't seen that paying off in a pro game in a long while :p).

He got HT and Storm. His HT were presumably sniped but the observer missed it.
He was about 20ish seconds late on Storm completion for the first attack wave, and if he'd had it he would have been in a decisive lead.

He got the building and the research but then only built 2 HTs all game long which were likely sniped yes. Considering the amount of lings and mutas he saw he needed to build more of those.
Considering how badly Puzzle just lost because he failed scouting 101 though the game I was complaining about before was a joy to watch though.
Well, with these player picks, it might be possilbe for Slayers to actually win. It's kinda interesting that IM and ST played their best lineups (pretty much) yet both MVP and Slayers are sending out their weaker players.
Monster was pretty dead guys Just didn't cause any damage, third only just popped and with too few drones to capitalize on it anyway... He needed to kill off Darks third, didn't happen - GG
Idk, I was pretty hyped when I saw SlayerS vs MVP but these games are just... meh. Not as impressive/fun as I would have thought considering the (possible) players.
Im guessing they didnt want a ZvZ so sniper was out. DRG obviously to busy with OSL/Code S. Not sure why noblesse over sC/Keen but maybe he is exceptional at TvZ

Noblesse has just been sitting for so long. If he had kept base hunting or just decided to engage way earlier with well spread vikings I feel like he would have had this
hehe those baneling duds. man at the end there, he could've made noblesse gg before the engagement if he detonated those banelings on the clumped up marines.
SLayers didnt use ryung/Genius, MVP didnt use DRG/Keen Im almost under the impression they aren't fully trying to win and more trying to give exposure and experience.

since when was Monster ever about to win? lol. Noblesse did screw up though, but Dark at the same time denied drops, had amazing engagements, and just had ridiculous staying power throughout the game so you can't take that victory away from him at all. It was a long game, so one player's mistakes don't decide the game only

No MMA or Sniper either.
It kinda seems that way huh ^_^ I don't have a problem with that I guess but it would have been nice to see the top players fight each other, was hoping for DRG vs MMA.

It's not as if either Monster or Noblesse are in Code S. Not exactly the best opponents to compare Dark to DRG.

It was a joke, but you're actually pretty wrong on that. Although both are in Code B, Monster had a ridiculous run at some recent MLG where he destroyed plenty of Code S players and was finally stopped by Alicia I believe. So he's notorious for being one of the Code B monsters. Noblesse used to be a Code S mainstay, and his play was still Code A level at least. Not comparing Dark to DRG, just pointing out the beginnings of an unknown clutch team league player

Monster won the game when he sniped the third and retained his mutalisks. He should've teched to infestors and made roach/infestor instead of being dumb and trying to end the game with pure roach. Paranoid almost lost to Sheth by doing the same thing, it's vomit-worthy.
Noblesse kills the natural hatchery and pulls back, takes his third and gets siege tech, pushes five minutes later and wins the game. What nonexistent tech will Dark summon to stop said push?
Of course Dark played well; he won those games while at a disadvantage. But he made few decisions besides defending needless aggression. Being clutch involves more than hoping your opponent will throw away his units.

Since when is sniping a 3rd base ever game-ending? Sure he sniped the third and gained an advantage, but he sacrificed a ton of larvae and money on making those lings in the first place. Those larvae and minerals replaced drones that were consequently not mining from monster's 3rd. The supplies were still even after the 3rd snipe, the only difference really was the extra production for monster since he hadn't saturated his own 3rd.
He had already been going muta when he was sniping the third. To suddenly switch into infestor just because he killed the 3rd would've been a retarded decision because his infestors would have been much later and the gas he spent on spire and banking for mutas would have gone to waste. He's a Code S level player, I would check the math before calling his play "vomit-worthy".
What? You realize how fast zerg recovers with the inject larvae mechanic when they're not attacked? The only thing stopping Dark from droning up back to 70 in a heartbeat was Noblesse's non-stop aggression. Sure he didn't control his army that well, but he didn't actually lose anything. He just picked up all his units as he rallied them across the map and simply forced Dark to keep making lings/blings instead of drones. What more use would his units have just sitting at home protecting a 3rd base that wasn't under pressure from Dark anyways?

Monster came from loser's bracket to beat Sheth, JYP, Dream, Ryung, and MC until he lost to Alicia 1-2
Judging from your other responses I see that you're convinced that Dark will soon become another DRG... Whatever, I'd rather not jump on the hype-train.

A lot of Korean teams do this. E.g. LG-IM is famous for doing this and have been quite successful. Now, if LG-IM sends out a Seed, Yonghwa, LosirA, First, Yoda line-up, we would feel they are sending some of their best. But if this was 6 months ago, we would claim that LG-IM wasn't trying. Teams need to get some of their lesser experience players some playing time and exposure.

Yeah he wasn't. I think he was in Code S for 2 seasons and one of those seasons was in the group of death in the RO32 with MC, MVP, and Polt.
Funny (actually more sad than anything) how SlayerS wins without fielding any Terran and getting all their wins from zerg. Of course this has been a trend from them for a while but it still is weird every time it happens.
And were these games from a while ago? Because I find it odd that Puzzle played, thought he was on the verge of retirement.

It's pretty much game-ending in ZvZ when the loser of the fight does not respond with a large push of his own.
Mutalisks allow you to drone freely while retaining complete map control. Any good ZvZ player understands that mutalisks are a waste of money besides their initial advantages, so you abuse their air mobility while you move onto tech that works better in a large fight. You'll always have the advantage because of the third, which grants you the gas to make the tech switch safely. The fact that Monster didn't do that when nothing was stopping him is sad. He could've went on auto-pilot and won the game just from the extra income.
Monster has never been a Code S level player. He has merely being a very good player with amazing macro. His micro remains poor; he still runs banelings into tanks as a habit. His unit compositions and tech transitions have always been simplistic. His decision-making is okay.
Yeah, Dark is going to drone back up to 70 workers! Without any queens! On two base! And he'll totally go to infestors during all that time and hold off a later marine-tank push easy peasy! And it's not like Noblesse lost units needlessly and gave his opponent time to rebuild his economy!
Finale beating Coca and Jaedong recently, hmm, I think we might see more of him. I haven't seen the games though, so I can't really say much. I'm glad SlayerS won, though I would have preferred a 5-X in which X isn't a 4. I guess it gives more exposure to the lesser SlayerS players since their iconic players haven't been faring so well recently.

He was basically sexually harassed by Werra's captain back in 2010 as a minor. This led to Werra's disbandment. Sad story

Wow....the more you know. Well he's doing pretty well now since he seems to be the current protoss 'ace' of MVP. Still a lot of improvement required, but he's been doing decently in team leagues for a bit now. And qualified for Code A in a more difficult fashion than the already difficult qualifiers hehe.
