stephano vs sen omg omg omg omg omg thats gonna be sick
|
stephano vs sen will be postponed, according to Sen's facebook, stating that due to stephano's participation in WCS eu.
|
Could you please start embedding the liquipedia link? :D Looking forward to seeing MMA :D
|
Can't wait to see MMA play again. He hasn't played in a foreign tournament for too damn long.

WOOOOOOOOO STEPHANO VS SEN! TT1 vs DeMusliM will be pretty awesome too :D
|
The weakest division, easily, despite the presence of Stephano. I expect wackiness though, which is always fun.

OP updated. Stephano/Sen & NightEnD/Dimaga reshceduled.
|
There's been lots of rescheduling so far. While I'm glad there aren't walkovers (with the exception of TLO), it is kind of disheartening.

Just a busy time right now with WCS tying up the vast majority of the EU players represented in NASL.
Should be smooth sailing after a week or two.
|
MMA will give QXC a good spanking.
|
Bitterdam always gettin canceled on D:
|
|
I think you should force Stephano to play. At 3 am, after winning a tournament, probably drunk. Just to prove that he can win anyway.
jk
|
no worries NASL, lots of stuff going on right now and WCS was a big big event. Things will pick up for you guys I'm sure. Glad you guys have made it all the way to season 4 esp when lots of people were wondering if things were over after season 2 or even 3.
|
You should mention the roundtable with special guests.
|
Oh man there are lots of games going on today
Calling DeMusliM and MMA

That banter was actually hilarious.

I second this motion

I enjoy this talk show. Nice idea when you had to postpone so many matches
|
This is filling the void of State of the Game. Good stuff.
|
I agree with Atrbyg, this talk show is amazing. 10/10, I'm loving ToD & Totalbiscuit as guests as well. Better than games if you ask me, this deserves more than 3300 viewers!
|
Wait, they ARE going to show games eventually right?

|
knowing NASL they might have something else planned instead of the last 2 matches cause only 2 matches is sort of weak.
|
I really want to know the opinions of Rotterdam, ToD, and Gretorp on the game. Warhound and Carrier etc etc.
NASL this entire board of commentators is brilliant, I've wanted to see this for ages. Even breaking our famous "duos" and doing a caster panel for games (3-5 commentators).
|
I enjoyed that, wouldn't be bad on a semi-regular basis.
|
WHAT TT1 WHAT.........................
|
|
I can't believe Demuslim won that game.

nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu running up the ramp doesn't work that well :/

INSANE hold by demuslim. hero medivac really saved the day

Nice hold from Demuslim, TT1 kinda threw it away

Sick engagement by Demuslim! :D

i really wanted to forefeit out of the league after my week 1 match but i couldnt unfortunately T.T, i didnt want my team to get penalized because of my decision

I remember him complaining on Twitter. Something about the maps. TT1 won a game but then Demuslim realized all his upgrades cost more so they had to replay.

in order to answer that question i would have to flame nasl because thats how i feel about the situation but thats never a good thing. the mistake itself wasnt that big of a deal but its still their fault and it affected my gameplay(i was tilted as fuck) for the rest of the series.
it just makes me mad how players always get penalized whenever they fuck up yet leagues/organisations never get a slap on the wrist or anything whenever they screw something up. all they do is apologize and expect you to carry on with your life as if nothing ever happened

Full fucking foreigner. It was 24 to 60+ workers at one point. qxc is going to beat himself up so hard after this.
MMA, such an amazing comeback.
|
qxc threw thris really blatantly
After his hellion harrass he was up 50 to 25 scvs
Thats a huge eco lead. He then just waited >10 minutes until both were maxed, and didnt even get good upgrades.
He could have just massed a few units on 2base, a-moved and would have probably won

And in the end it doesn't even matter... How far was he behind? I only got the tail end of the engagements as MMA was sacking the main.
He had like 24 workers to ~50 of qxc.

Definitely understandable, and good point about leagues never having to deal with any consequences, but why would you want to forfeit out of the league because of that? That seems like a rash and emotional decision that would not benefit anyone, including you.

No, I completely agree. I only meant that he shouldn't want to forfeit the league because there's still plenty of opportunities for him to snag a playoff spot, not to mention the ability to earn money from each match.
It's definitely tough to think of how to take care of a situation like this because, as TT1 clearly told us, it can have a big impact on the results, and, as a direct result, the income of the player.

Some points I'd like to throw out for g1, fwiw.
- Although qxc secured a huge economic lead, MMA's macro is...MMA's macro, and his 3rd CC was down/ready faster.
- I don't know exactly why qxc went with that mech build. I see the logic with him wanting the ability to hit multiprong because he knows MMA wouldn't want to invest in turrets (down economically) so 2 prong hellion is effective, but mech leads into my next point.
- MMA has the sickest multiprong in sc2. I'm biased af cause he's my favorite player... Meching against that? Not going to go to well. MMA did soooo much economic damage and was putting himself in awesome positions with his units while in the main. He put the siege tanks forward, then had the bio behind that in a way that if qxc tried to siege up the tanks to kill the bio, MMA's already sieged tanks would win. Beatiful positioning.
- MMA actually had 2 terrible supply blocks. I think an SCV got killed or something (when I looked at the production tab there was a supply depot being made but the bar wasn't moving) and there was a drop/harass missed. He was blocked at 151 or 154 (forget exact number) then at 177 a few moments after that. I think this may have prompted some aggression from him.
- Going back to something earlier in the game, I just loved MMA's tank positioning on the large ramp, and his spreading of marines/marauders around the map for good vision. So smart. So handsome.

im only playing hots atm so i dont really care about anything wol related and im not planning to participate in any wol tournaments either. tbh playing nasl feels like a huge burden because i dont want to go in every match without any practice and show shitty games. its unfortunate that the beta got released so late, if it wernt for that i would have forfeited out of the league before the season started

MMA getting a really good position here (edit: ummmmm...)
Also, did NASL establish exactly which maps to use (including details like publisher and stuff)? That could be rather useful, and the bookmark feature should make this rather easy.

Generally best to avoid cutting off the nose to spite the face. Forfeiting out wouldn't have hurt NASL nearly as much as it would have hurt you anyway.

Very admirable that you were willing to sacrifice potential income in order to stand your ground and make a point, but decided not to do so for the benefit of your team.

Anyone else getting a full green screen when trying to watch at 480p?

TT1 don't be so bitter man, relax. You should worry less about what you can't control, and focus on what you can control.
Also I'm excited with what NASL has planned with Root!

Seems like I am expressing a contrarian viewpoint here, but "I was ridiculously on tilt" is really not a legitimate reason to be angry at NASL. They didn't do anything unfair to TT1, like make him forfeit or twisted the walkover rule in his opponent's favor or something. TT1 is in control of his own mental state, and if he's on tilt it's on him. If he's a professional athlete then being on his game and blocking out distractions during matches is part of the job.

All his upgrades cost more? What? Someone made a custom version of a regular map, changed the upgrade costs, and then they accidentally played on it? That is really odd.

Yeah but you don't really see MMA playing aggressive every second of the game like that. I think he was just trying to put on a show.

I remember this happened at MLG (?) when a ZvT was played on an altered map where marines did 15 damage with 7 range. Needless to say there was a regame.

yay MMA mech. I love seeing him mech, he's pretty good at it but he doesn't really play it much if at all. He only ever does it if he can get 3 bases close together with 6 gas.
|
MMA playing mech!!! Such a rare thing.
|
rofl MMA only plays mech when against a foreigner cross server. Boss.

16 min siege tech. standard MMA.

Good to see MMA win, but his play still needs work.

ahhhhh mirror madness *_*

Stephano vs Sen, this is going to be fun It's a shame we don't see Sen in major tournament...

If you are hosting a talk-show please include it separately in the schedule. Some of us just cared about games and were welcomed to over 30 minutes of yapping around.

Everyday a NASL stream, never a decent amount of viewers. Guys casting replays... I don't get it, this format is really not working.

This is a rebroadcast and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Out of 2 series tonight, 1 was live.

Ah right, the rebroadcast. Nice way to get 400-viewers streams and completely kill the hype.

Indeed. providing restreams for European viewers certainly kills the hype.

People will bitch about anything nowadays :p

Not a terrible first set from qxc, I’m looking forward to other games. I don’t understand the reasoning behind going mech on metropolis close air positions, though.

Because it's really hard to understand they were filling time until the scheduled live match was to start isn't it?

They have a point though, it isn't hard to update the OP with "Hey we're doing an hour of talk show at the start"

And update the results in the OP.
