If Taeja wins 2 or 3 of the 3 games, First still has a shot in BO7, which starts with Taeja's lead.

(assuming this one doesn't pick up rapidly) The decline has been somewhat nonsensically precipitous. Seemingly far too large to be explained by bans or other small differences. " MLG Anaheim RED " ah, the good old days where there were so many people posting we needed separate threads for each stream ![]()

Hope the games have been good so far! Some people like me are also watching the international for dota 2 atm instead of MLG.

MLG usually have 12387123 pages bashing the sound, what games are being broadcasted, the format, casters and production. Haven't been even 1% of that this tournament.

"(mlg liquipedia)TAEJA NEEDS TO WIN 4 GAMES FIRST NEEDS TO WIN 2 GAMES -its not a bo3 x 2- -its an extended series- Taeja has not met first in the championchip bracket, right? I don't understand the rules if this IS extended series (assuring me it is extended series, is not enough)

Imagine it like this, If Taeja wins the first Bo3 then he sends First down to the "loser's bracket". In this case the Loser's bracket is just him facing Taeja again.

Sc2's numbers aren't dropping, hsc5 peaked at 70k. It's just oversaturated as fuck, development like this is to be expected. hsc5 peaked that high because it's the most fun event to watch. But in SC2 there is such an overkill in events that a lot of people simply stop caring about a bunch of them. ''Why should I watch this MLG if Dreamhack is next week, IPL the week after, and NASL that week after + I can watch GSL everday''. (only theoretical off course). Having a lot of tournaments isn't a bad thing obviously but there really are too much atm and some of them should just combine their powers. Take last IEM for example MvP took home a shocking 1st place price of 6.500 euros. I'm sorry, but that just doesnt get people hyped up anymore. BIG starcraft leagues should be less times a year but way bigger and way more hyped up, so u get the feeling ur watching something that actually means anything for the scene.

A sentence that makes a lot of sense. A reset would mean no one has an advantage.^^
