-its not a bo3 x 2-
-its an extended series- this should be wrong, the only extended series which could have occured according to the rules is HerO vs First in Semis. Um, there were a few more extended series than just that. HerO versus Crank anyone?
* Note: The Semifinals are the only round where an Extended Series can occur during the Championship Bracket, due to results from previous stages of the tournament not being carried over.

Its not a big MLG. It's in Raliegh, and missing Nestea MMA DRG and such.

Or maybe it's due to the fact that viewernumbers for Starcraft have been declining over the last year. Only the hardcore fans are left but every1 else has either gone to LoL, Dota2 or some other game. Viewernumbers for Dota2 Invitational tournament are allready higher then the numbers for Starcraft have ever been ~30k viewers on the stream and like 60-70k viewers watching the games live in the gameclient. Starcraft desperately needs HOTS and it better be good, otherwise the game will get overrun. The international happens once a year, we get sc2 tournamnets every weekend!!!!
This! Since HSC V there have been big tournaments almost every weekend. Some of them even starting during the week like IEM. And some of them taking place at the same time. Like Campus Party EU and the two WCS finals. Right now it might be "too much" SC 2.

Wonder if the viewernumbers are worse also.. I was surprised to find how well you're theory checks out: Number of replies for day 3 MLG threadsHere are the salient pieces of the results (TL is probably gonna eff my formatting): [Day 3] MLG Summer Championships 2777 [Day 3] MLG Spring Championships 7727 [Day 3] MLG Winter Championship 11164 MLG Providence Day 3 17781 MLG Orlando Day 3 20173 MLG Anaheim Day 3 RED 15860 MLG Columbus Day 3 28621 [MLG] Dallas Day 3 18644 Every single MLG day 3 thread last year had more replies than every single one this year.(assuming this one doesn't pick up rapidly) The decline has been somewhat nonsensically precipitous. Seemingly far too large to be explained by bans or other small differences.
And yet Anaheim this year broke all viewship records so there doesn't seem to be a very strong correlation

The format is weird a bit

" MLG Anaheim RED " ah, the good old days where there were so many people posting we needed separate threads for each stream
The admins thought it was simpler to just have one regardless and I already answered this query. A lot of the regular guys who make over 500-1.5k posts aren't present.
There are a few guys alone who post upwards to 25 pages on their own so these numbers are really not that relevant.

Yes, but the prospect of broacasting up to 21 games in sequence starting from now would be a nightmare for MLG, especially if they have to clear out of the convention center by midnight.
