Why? It's a fair comment. The skill level is low: bad unit control and positioning, mediocre macro, average map control for most players, horrible engagements and the list goes on. All the money poured into the NA scene has achieved nothing. The NA scene is not competitive at all. For a long time, people said that money was needed to nurture a new good players as they had to make a living. I'm starting to think the contrary. Too much money is subsidizing bad players that would get purged on a more competitive market (and it's not that bad, life goes on and they will go to the uni again).

High prizepool isn't just for rewarding skill it's also PR for the young gamers that are wondering if it's worth laying down the time needed to become really good. Thanks to these (and hopefully other) high prizepools we could see an upsurge in talented players from NA, which would only benefit the SC scene as a whole.

Oh thats right. I knew that, but I confused how that would work. So I guess there will be an extra 4 man bracket for 9th-12th with the winner advancing. Will that also be double elim? A lot fo extra games there.

You need to invest in a scene to make it better. I cant believe some people actually think they shouldn't get payed. The main point of WCS is finding and supporting new players around there world. Its a great concept and I hope it gets a lot of success
