Finally the Kespa players show some of their skill potential :D

Was getting bored of the GOM players tbh, they just aren't able to show that "unreachable" skill level the Kespa players showed in BW. Kespa players bringing SC2 progaming to a new level

And this is just the beginning!

hahaha yeh but honestly, what do you gain from not walling in? a handful of seconds of travel time mining ???? :\

Against a player of EffOrt caliber you go greedy openings

and it was a pretty perfect choice considering gumi 2 raxed failed and lost the late game, he probably thought well effort is comfortable with the late game, and all these kespa pros seem to be taking it to a macro game, i'll try and play a greedy game and cut the small corners whenever i can

Okay people. All this "Elephant" talk is just plain stupid. It's pretty simple that the KESPA player would do well early.

Their opponents have a ton of games they can research which the opponents do not have the same luxury.

Lets give this a month or so and then you can put up the elephant in the room jokes. Remember when foreigners were beating Koreans in SC2 about a year ago? Yeah, now look at it. Swung back the other way.

I don't recall anytime foreigners beating Koreans consistantly.

i dont get why people are downplaying the loser bracket. i mean drg coca and gumiho not good players or something? i do thin some people do take this kespa vs gom too seriously though. i mean its like foreigners vs koreans. people will pick sides and people shoudl just have fun with it instead of seriously arguing why the other one is better.

Hmm.

Bias much, they are in the loser bracket which means they lost.

What bias? There's indeed a 8-0 streak in boX going, including wins in the Winner bracket.

This tournament is starting to be puzzling.

They are trying to capitalize on the Kespa players lack of game knowledge by doing cheeses and early game aggression because ultimately the Kespa players have superior mechanics.

I meant they are on an 8-0 streak, my bad, edited.

Everyone relax, all I care about is seeing good games.

Well, the only good games we'll be seeing soon are going to always involve Kespa players.

I'm not arguing which side is better

I just like a lot of the kespa players more than gom players, so I cheer for the kespa players most of the time here.

BW zergs usually have this kind of mentality. Macro is too hard against terran.

Cuz the Kespa players have better mechanics than the GSL players, whereas the foreigners have worse mechanics than GSL players. Just look at how Hero held that 4 gate by tails.

Brood war tvz was a series of early pools? My memories of tvz are slightly different.

I can't tell you how many TvZs ive seen end with the Terran dying because he went for a greedy FE build and the Zerg went for an early build.

You hardly ever saw that in SC2 up until recently, it was a dynamic that's only now become prominent in the metagame. Terrans gotta watch out for that shit, don't just assume every Zerg is gonna 15 hatch you.

It still happens in sc2, just fails most of the time

All you people making puns about reality, hero and effort, try making one with soulkey to challenge yourself.
Well, now I tell you, I never seen good come o' goodness yet. Him as strikes first is my fancy; dead men don't bite; them's my views--amen, so be it.
