All three had the exact same design, but 1st place was bigger than 2nd which was bigger than 3rd place. You could see it more clearly when they had some footage of all three standing on a table earlier during the tourney.

Reis said the exact same thing on twitter(?) so he was def giving excuse, whether it was true or not. at the wrong time

pretty good tourney overall, good format, just a shame no foreigners can compete with the big boys

That's laughable, but can't say I'm surprised as that is pretty expected from you Ofcourse, could you please take a look into his decisions regarding strategy? Last game he scouts a very early starport and he can assume its a stim-timing after a gas-fe and also scouts double-reactors. He then decides to go very greedy for double forge which means he'll have no DPS at all against the bio force. Taeja could have won the match right when TLO called out that heromarine scouting everything. No way he would have defended the bio force. As I said MC's mechanics were good as always even though on Metropolis he was playing kind of sloppy, yet the decisions through the series wasn't better than from a masters player. If you hate on me for pointing that out, I will just leave you as a MC fanboy. I like that boss as well, but this certainly was very argueable. If you think that was "mid-masters" strategy wise, I don't know what to tell you. He certainly made a lot of strategic mistakes, but that laughable exaggeration just discredits any point you may actually have. I'm not a MC "fanboy" at all by the way and you will find it difficult to find anything supporting that assertion. Naruto had a point. I mean, if you scout fast medivacs and know he has a fast stim from his opener and you see dual reactor which = alot of marines then you want AoE, but mc got double forge and immortals and a 3rd nexus which is just ridiculous. Naruto also thinks that European Protosses are strategic geniuses whereas Koreans are a bunch of one-dimensional idiots. Seriously, he talks about this practically every time there is an LR thread. Oh, come on... Anyway, our point about not going Colossi allowing the Medivac count to snowball out of control was clearly proven in this series, no? No it wasn't. MC is a seasoned veteran, he isn't going to get nervous or psyched out by literally anyone, which means he made all the decisions he made consciously. And his insight is considerably deeper than yours. While I can't argue about his insight being deeper than mine, I can point out that he suffered a terrible defeat without looking remotely close to being a threat at all to Taeja, while others in this tournament have with a different kind of approach in PvT. Taeja simply played much worse against European protosses, as in he made mistakes that can be easily identified. Now maybe did you take into consideration that its a lot harder to play against Colossi? Maybe those mistakes were forced while its very handy to him to not play against a combo that doesn't allow mass marines to work or having 15+ medivacs? I will step away now, there's no use discussing if you are not willing to actually fight the points made. You don't make any points either, just claims.

I was away for this tournament but I would like to congratulate Tajea for winning another big tournament. Such a talented player and Im really glad Liquid has been able to foster it.

Very unprofessional. did Taeja actually say something along those lines or was it Reis, as you say, making excuses? I didn't watch the games, but Taeja really did say that MC missed charge in the second game and that threw him off.

I guess it was pretty awkward if he had to do that.

Can you speak korean? I mean do you know that Taeja didnt say anything about that. If yes, then it was a terrible move by Reis Taeja said something about MC forgetting charge and while Reis was translating this he slipped in that MC had told him that he'd forgotten charge.

Tournaments are just formality to give Koreans money. Similar to the way that olympics is gold medal awarding ceremony for Michael Phelps.

Now the games have finished the whining can commence! Or at least continue..
I wonder how long this thread will continue for. Haha.
Meanwhile, Olympics...
