Yeah, sentiment of most of the thread I'll just reiterate.
As a fan of MC and Seed I am happy to see either win, and have to congratulate seed for his play and mindgames.
However, PvP doesn't make for good series. Maybe there's a "oh shi-" game occasionally, but there's no such thing as an exciting PvP series because the metagame and 1 base plays are such an enormous part of the matchup.
Worst finals? I don't think Nestea v Inca can be surpassed, but this is definitely the worst finals (at the very least) since probably Nestea v Losira about a year ago now. I mean a lot of what makes PvP really interesting wasn't even on display. Game 1 was an interesting start, but that was probably the only one I'd give a maybe to watch.
Even though I'm not for a lot of the HotS changes I feel mothership core will be a plus to PvP in HotS since it will instill more of a defender's advantage. Just something which means that expanding doesn't mean death to almost-every-1-base-build a Protoss player can throw out.

Marauder takes micro ? Rofl, more joke plz, it takes as much micro as a marine. Well, no, marines require more micro. Marauder is still a 1-A unit than even a child could use at full efficency.

Oh nice, if a french says that he doesn't like GSL, then it means "Stephano is way more important than everything else" ? God dammit, words are missing to explain how much retard you are -_-

That's a pretty strong bias there. You are right in your statement that a Marauder takes as much micro as a marine (debatable in bits) but really saying it's just a 1-A unit is then the anti-thesis of that isn't it? Marines are one of the most micro intensive units in the game and I don't think there's a single matchup where a-moving marauders is the winning strategy. As an adult I'm far from being able to use the marauder at "full efficiency".
So uhhh, either there's a great joke here I'm missing or you've got some bias there. I know people don't like Marauders, but don't make incorrect statements about the unit.

hah.. great job seed.. first victory!! boo yeah!!

I went to sleep as soon as the pre-game show started and it looked like only 5 rows were filled with people. Did the audience attendance get any better?

PvP still the worst matchup in the game.
It's pretty lame that the matchup revolves around a large period of blindness and no scouting where neither player can scout the other, so both are guessing.
ZvZ has gotten a lot better lately, and can be a lot of fun to watch. Often goes to the late game now, and it's not too hard to live past the early game all-in stage.
TvT has always been the best mirror.
PvP is just awful >_<.

Finals were terrible. Like anyone didn't see that coming. Protoss is such a poorly designed race and mostly retards play it

Wow at ^^.
Surely, that calls for a temp ban?
I've just logged on this morning and see 4 - 1 to Seed. That was unexpected, but not unwelcome.
Can some Protoss provide a brief description of the final?
Edit/ I don't really want to read over the thread as the last few pages is just asinine whining about poor racial design and warp gates. Just the same old crap that's not just wrong, but also dead boring after 2 years of the game being out.
Edit 2/ Nvm, I see a TL recap.

People really want to hate on attendance.

Until now Seed was only a PvZ specialist to me. His PvZ is the very best for months now, but his other matchups allways seemed to lack that brilliance. But this season, he proved to be the total package. He joins the club of top notch well rounded protoss players which consists Squirtle, Genius, MC, Creator (which was in a bit of slump in the past few weeks). Protoss players look really scary lately, there are a lot of insanely good protosses, both in korea and outside. Expect many more protoss tournament wins...

I think the attendance was really good. It's a shame they watched more Total Recall commercials than SC2.

ZvZ has been getting WAY better, actually. Plenty of long exciting games with room for short edge-of-the-seat cheese/cheese defense games as well.

Really happy Seed won. IM is the team of champions. Also I find it amusing watching MC lose, his head isn't as big now, which is great.

I thought overall the series would be a lot more of what we saw in the final game. I guess MC thought so too.
Personally, I was a little let down by the finals. I kinda knew I was going to be, though. I didn't mind whether it was MC or Seed who won the trophy, I just wanted to see some good games, but it's PvP.
It was a very IM win, imo. All maps were well thought out, and designed to absolutely destroy MC. IM has always been great at this side of SC2, all their players always look so well prepared when it comes to individual leagues.
Congrats, Seed. Did what he had to and it worked a treat. I'm glad there's a new Protoss champ. Now for the next season I hope he gets to take out a Terran in the finals ;D

I don't see anybody achieving that anytime soon again.
