This is where alot of BroodWar players compete against eachother in Starcraft 2, for a spot in OSL together with the sc2 pro players of korea? (MVP/DRG/MKP/MC etc)
Also, will Jaedong, flash, stork and fantasy make it there?
Yes.
Fantasy and Jangbi in Ro16(?). Flash and ZerO in dual tournament. Jaedong, Stork, Bisu et al need to qualify, which is what this tournament is for
Thanks so much.. that really makes me wonder why we cant watch this awesome pack of players qualify.. the viewcount would be so high if this got promoted and showcased on some stream..
Also, is there any easy way to know who has made it and who has fallen off?
OGN didn't get broadcast rights from Blizz to show the qualifying tournaments (was it Moletrap who mentioned this when he asked the organizers?).
Yes, this thread pretty much sums up everything we can find on the results.
What Moletrap said is that they didn't have that rights before this OSL. They are just not streaming it, which is a tradition.
No OSL normally streams their qualifiers. I heard the same thing that they can't stream the games until the Dual tournament.
Well, they have a license now. Because the sc2 ODT Groups A and B were already played and broadcasted.
Which is the dual tournament right? They couldn't stream qualifiers but they could stream the next part or w/e. The ODT will also be streamed for kespa ones to.

I guess that's the only reason they wouldn't broadcast this other than lazyness/lack of interest from the community then, that's odd that they don't have permission to stream qualifiers while they do to cast the tournament itself though.
I really wonder how these BW pro's play in sc2, if they all try to cheese eachother, or proxy, or if they really try to play long micro and macro games. I really wonder where their skill is, if it is like the platinum leauge, or if they can be in the grandmaster/very top, together with the real sc2 pros. The games seem short, so that doesnt talk well of close macro games with flawless play more likely cheese, and/or failed unit control

That's what I read was blizzard said no for qualifiers. I read that when people asked for the qualifiers for non kespa players.

The metagame is a little bit behind their GOM counterparts, but not by much. The main difference is game sense, unit control and timings I think. There have been some excellent games from Proleague, and some players look to have a lot of potential in SC2 (Soulkey, By.Sun and Roro being my faves). Not really a cheesefest, but we haven't seen any broadcast BoX's yet

Watch proleague. The players are often in GM or masters on Korea and can play all-ins as well as long macro games. Some players are lower skill, but players like EffOrt (rank 1 in proleague SC2) could play in Code A easily.

Have you watched any of their SC2 proleague games? There have been tons of epic macro games.

ok, yay thanks, that really makes me more excited to see the broadcasted stuff later My favourite is zergs overall, and jaedong is my absolute favourite, even more than drg (and almost more than nestea when he was his best) so i really wish he can qualify through this and let me see how he plays sc2!

Favorite game of SCII so far has been Baby vs Effort.
