His Ro32 wasn't special (Ganzi and Sniper I think? Or some other semi-random zerg) but he took out Squirtle, MKP, Taeja, and DRG.

Yea I'm wondering if that justifies his Ro32 though, it's a toss up.
would like a comparison.

Beat finalist, beat champion, and beat previous champion? How can there be a harder road?

utterly disgusted. I just hope Seed wins, he has a lot of skill and deserves it. Don't know why Byun and DRG played badly today. I doubt I will watch this finals.

There has always been a lot of anti-Protoss whiners in this forum.

PvP is often the most entertaining PvX matchup. I really enjoy the intense micro situations, although sometimes it really does snowball after a single volley vs a single mis-micro.

Cut the crap please...
Stop using your opinion as a fact.

Or maybe that was his opinion, and you telling him it was crap is you presenting your opinion as fact?

Statistically (from big majority of polls on TL) PvP was found as one of the most boring match-up.

A collection of opinions is no more a fact than a single opinion

Really ?
Entertainment is a subjective thing. In order to find the most entertaining match-up (a match-up which is liked by the most of the sc2 community) you need a high sample size. In this case, one opinion is almost worthless, however 50000 opinions is not.

Assuming a random sample, it's statistically way more than enough. Though I wouldn't claim that TL polls are particularly random, necessarily.
Like Tinkerbelle, I leave behind a sparkly residue.

It's disappointig for DRG, even though I'm an MC fan, it would have been great to see DRG play well and learn what he's capable of against MC.

i am very interested to see how a bo7 pvp finals where both players have a ton of preparation for their opponent plays out. I have a feeling this will go 6 or 7 games, and that seed will die to DTs at least once.

Or none?

Mc's just better at the moment?

As a fan of both:

MC was indeed better today, no doubt. That said DRG's play was particularly poor. I was worried last week in his vs Naniwa, but he mentioned in the interview that the builds threw him off which is why it looked closer than I expected I thought.

But DRG hasn't looked good vP in a very recent number of games. Odd, but perhaps he's struggling with the MU more than he knows.

Either way, not taking it away from MC or Naniwa previously. DRG played poor, but he's still probably the best player in the world.

Maybe it is a practice partner match up problem. MVP has some protoss but comparing them to the ST protoss or MC they fall way behind. He can maybe hold all pushes from other protoss but MC is a different beast with his control. Even so though today was very lack luster play from DRG. So happy about MC making it to the finals.

MC even has no teammates to practise with. But MC said a while ago that he practises a lot with Symbol.

I'd imagine he can practice with LG_IM whenever he wants, or probably any player in general. I think him and MKP play a lot as well.

MC might not have team-mates exactly, but he has friends and former team-mates to practice with. He said at NASL he had spent the previous few days practicising a lot with Hero and Ret. I think MC is probably popular and can find friends to practice with if he needs it.

Possibly, but MVP has had some ridiculously hard paths to the final. After watching every game of his last season and knowing all th rumors and hype surrounding his opponents (and his injury), I actually feel like that mc's run is no greater. Also, he rolled his opponents too hard to call it a hard run

The people saying a PvP final would be bad are either haters or just haven't watched the matchup at all. There are viable fast expand builds now, Phoenix builds, Blink, builds, Immortal builds. Its the only Protoss match up where the whole tech tree is viable at any given time. The finals will be just as good as the last few finals as long as all the games aren't turtle up to max Colossus battles.

Or...

People have seen it, they've watched it and understand it....And still find the matchup incredibly boring :S

This is how I feel... I think mirror matches tend to be a bit boring in a long series (i.e., a BO7 finals) and PvP is the worst of the three (though personally I have enjoyed it from time to time).

But among a lot of protoss biased guys, you don't have the right to think PvP is a boring match-up.

(I am NOT implying that every protoss fan is implied, but amongst those who give their opinions, that's what i feel...)

He's also really good friends with Marineking and Parting so he probably gets a lot of PvT and PvP practice with them
