Can anyone give me an idea if MC's current path to the finals has been the hardest ever?

I think you could at least make the argument that Stephano is best zerg in the world now.

People is always having different opinions about this but that we can even say that a foreigner might be the best player in the world in his race is really cool. I also think Stephano makes the best argument as of now, it is him or DRG.

Symbol looks very strong but have to few achievements to be called the best Zerg, Nestea have the achievements but have been lacking in performances for to long period to take that title as of now.

No. Until Stephano competes in the toughest tournament in the world he will only be able to be one of the best zergs. Unless he never loses another tournament anyways

Well I do not agree with that, it is only true in a world completely dominated by Koreans which is turning out to be less and less true in 2012. GSL is the biggest tournament and it matters a lot, but to say it it the only tournament that matters in the debate of who is the best SC2 player is Korean biased.

Some people might simply do not want to live in Korea for extend periods and practice for GSL. The fact that you have to live in Korea in order to compete in GSL will ensure that GSL always will be dominated by Koreans. Thus will this logic ensure that Koreans by definition always will be dominating each race.

With more and more Koreans flying out to tournaments all over the globe, with the amount of international tournaments and with smaller gap between foreign and Korean players is this point of view becoming increasingly obsolete.

When you see protoss overwhelming zerg in unit production you know something's wrong with warp ins

that's uh, quite a random statement to make.

I don't think so. I have had a problem with protoss warp ins since the beginning of sc2. As day 9 says it seems a bit odd that the most powerful tier-1 and 2 units can be produced the fastest AND at the nearest place from the fight.

I know this is a balance wine but i still think something's wrong with it. I'm ok to receive the punishment for it but I will will stay true to my belief

Try watching the game and getting some basic knowledge of what's happening in PvZ to understand why MC was so ahead and able to outproduce DRG?

Outproduce is a thing. but outproduce a Zerg and get your units spawning like 1 screen away from the battle is something I don't get balance-wise.....

You apparently do not get a lot of things about this game.

There has always been a lot of anti-Protoss whiners in this forum.

PvP is often the most entertaining PvX matchup. I really enjoy the intense micro situations, although sometimes it really does snowball after a single volley vs a single mis-micro.

Or maybe that was his opinion, and you telling him it was crap is you presenting your opinion as fact?

Statistically (from big majority of polls on TL) PvP was found as one of the most boring match-up.

A collection of opinions is no more a fact than a single opinion

And that collection of opinion is what determines is most entertaining. PvP is least entertaining because it entertains the least amount of people.

it doesn't though...you can't quote a poll from the middle of some thread 6 months ago and say 'SEE GUYS TL HATES PVP'

The people saying a PvP final would be bad are either haters or just haven't watched the matchup at all. There are viable fast expand builds now, Phoenix builds, Blink, builds, Immortal builds. Its the only Protoss match up where the whole tech tree is viable at any given time. The finals will be just as good as the last few finals as long as all the games aren't turtle up to max Colossus battles.

I do agree that PvP can be a tense matchup, however in general it's bad. Colossi battles are basically over after 5 seconds.

Best thing that can happen are crazy close combats leading into basetrade or something like that. Most awesome thing was when Naniwa (i think?) lost at HSC with a big army due to 2-3 DT's killing his Robo, that was great.

Still i'm positive the grand finals are going to be good.

No it fucking doesn't. It represents what is most entertaining to the sample of people who took that poll.

It's like saying that Tony Blair was elected with a landslide victory, therefore he is factually a really good Prime Minister. You can't measure what is factually entertaining, it is subjective.

His Ro32 wasn't special (Ganzi and Sniper I think? Or some other semi-random zerg) but he took out Squirtle, MKP, Taeja, and DRG.

I think DRG watched HSC & NASL, and though MC would play similarly. But since MC was hiding his build, he was caught off guard.

MC will beat Seed convincingly imo. He has a 70% korean PvP rating here on TL whilst Seed went 0-2 against SangHo (37%) last month in the TSL4 Quals..
Not saying Seed is a bad player, he did well in beating symbol but I just don't see MC loosing this.

Well, we're going to hear much about what a bad match up it is. Which is what i would incline to think, but that's my personnal opinion, and as a spectator, I may have different expectations than others when it comes to entertainement and game's quality.
