GO NANIWA.

If he does 2 base timings, He's got a good chance. I wouldn't play lategame vs DRG.

Would be fine if MC / ByuN won it. MC is cool and ByuN winning would be nice for the terrans.

Seed is an amazing player but he's one of the no-personality-korean which makes him very boring.

Hope Nestea doesn't win it all. I used to not really care if he won/lost, but now I gladly see him lose. Probably because how obnoxiously much hype he recieve even though he's been mediocre at best over the last year.

Hyped for the Naniwa/DRG match, I don't care who wins, just let it be an amazing match please >_<

How has Nestea looked mediocre for the last year? From July 11 2011 till now he has won a GSL gotten second at Blizzcon, 3rd at IPL4 (where he actually looked amazing for the early rounds and ended up losing to two people he had beaten earlier in the tournament obviously due to fatigue), 3rd at Iron Squid, 2 GSL ro8s, numerous ro16s and has never fully dropped out of Code S. There were a few very specific time-frames where Nestea looked mediocre mostly from GSL November ro16 through Blizzard cup but the past year overall he has done fine. In most of the GSL's he lost in in the past year he was placed with very tough competition. For both GSL August and October he lost to MVP who won and took second place in those and from GSL January this year he lost to Genius and DRG who ended up being the finalists of that season. At no time in the past year has Nestea been outside of the top 3 Zergs in the world.

^ JJH777 it's not worth your time to try and back up your arguments with logic, there are some people in this world who see facts, ignore them and then ignore people who try to correct them - then say it's all a matter of opinion.

From a statistical standpoint, if Nestea beats Byun and DRG beats Naniwa (most likely result), Seed becomes the favourite for the tournament. If DRG wins but Nestea loses, DRG becomes the favourite. If DRG loses and Nestea also loses, Byun becomes the favourite. If DRG loses but Nestea wins, Naniwa actually becomes the statistical favourite to win the tournament. :D

Too many people underestimating Naniwa. When Naniwa prepares his PvZ is quite respectable and DRG looked helpless at times against Hero last week. I don't care if I'm just fanboying but Naniwa will win today.

I'm gonna have to go with Byun winning over Nestea.

My heart says Naniwa but my brain says DRG.

Prove my brain wrong Naniwa!! :D

Ok, "last year" was a bit exaggerated. Was ment from Blizzcon last year.

Blizzcon he lost a match that was almost unloseable. He lost a match vs HuK that was seriously unloseable. He had 30 mutas vs 2 archons and 2 stalkers and HuK couldn't get a third up. And he lost that match (GSL November r16, people even thought the match was rigged because of how unloseable it was).

Getting third at Iron Squid was ok. However, he has quite an easy group + it was online. He finished 3th of 4 players at the actual event. IPL he did good. He has dropped out of MLGs quite early, barely ever made it passed r16. He lucked out with his group this GSL. If MKP wasn't in the insane group of death but instead was in Nestea's group he wouldn't have made it out. He barely ever wins in GSTL (his team together with TL was the first team to drop out).

From Blizzcon last year, the only impressive run he has done is the IPL one.

Even now I don't consider Nestea as a top 3 zerg. Violet / Symbol / DRG is all better imo. Violet just had way harder groups than Nestea did here. Stephano tends to place higher than Nestea (except for IPL). In teamleagues I think Life/Coca could possibly be better than Nestea. I usually put Leenock higher, but he's been in quite the slump the last month.

If Nestea wouldn't have been carried by his great early success he would never have been in OSL.

I never consider Nestea to win a tournament any more, he's just not that good.

Mediocre? I hope you mean mediocre in comparison to other top players or good/solid/consistent Code S players or such. Even simply "Code S player" is a stretch.
