Ok, "last year" was a bit exaggerated. Was ment from Blizzcon last year.

Blizzcon he lost a match that was almost unloseable. He lost a match vs HuK that was seriously unloseable. He had 30 mutas vs 2 archons and 2 stalkers and HuK couldn't get a third up. And he lost that match (GSL November r16, people even thought the match was rigged because of how unloseable it was).

Getting third at Iron Squid was ok. However, he has quite an easy group + it was online. He finished 3th of 4 players at the actual event. IPL he did good. He has dropped out of MLGs quite early, barely ever made it passed r16. He lucked out with his group this GSL. If MKP wasn't in the insane group of death but instead was in Nestea's group he wouldn't have made it out. He barely ever wins in GSTL (his team together with TL was the first team to drop out).

From Blizzcon last year, the only impressive run he has done is the IPL one.

Even now I don't consider Nestea as a top 3 zerg. Violet / Symbol / DRG is all better imo. Violet just had way harder groups than Nestea did here. Stephano tends to place higher than Nestea (except for IPL). In teamleagues I think Life/Coca could possibly be better than Nestea. I usually put Leenock higher, but he's been in quite the slump the last month.

If Nestea wouldn't have been carried by his great early success he would never have been in OSL.

I never consider Nestea to win a tournament any more, he's just not that good.

I disagree that that game against MVP was unlosable. It was half map half map which on Shakura's Plateau with ghosts pre-snipe nerf was like unbeatable IMO. I agree that that Huk match was a low point for Nestea.

Third at Iron Squid was great the tournament was incredibly stacked. It doesn't really matter that it was online since there were barely any cross server matches and it also had a large prize pool + lan finals/semi's which are the normal problems with online tournies.

Nestea's groups were really not that easy at all.... Before Code S started Creator was getting a ridiculous amount of (undeserved) hype. Tons of people were saying he was going to be the first royal roader. TheSTC beat DRG the season before and Naniwa has gotten consecutive ro8s now. His ro16 group had Ryung, Supernova, and DRG who are all amazing. Ryung looked like the best Terran in ro32. DRG is DRG. Supernova has been in Code S forever and has gotten numerous ro8s and has always had great TvZ. I actually can't take you saying Violet is better than Nestea seriously though. Violet won that MLG pretty much purely off of his ZvZ and that was one of the weaker MLG lineups anyways. He has never looked impressive ZvT and ZvP.

Nestea and Stephano have only played in the same tournament twice. IPL4 and Iron Squid. Both times Nestea placed better than him.

Seed is an amazing player but he's one of the no-personality-korean which makes him very boring.

Hope Nestea doesn't win it all. I used to not really care if he won/lost, but now I gladly see him lose. Probably because how obnoxiously much hype he recieve even though he's been mediocre at best over the last year.
