A few words from Zicoz:

Hello everyone! Since this is MY Favorites Bracket I thought I'd give you all an introduction and some background as to why I wanted to do put up the do this tournament as well as why these players are my favorite ones.

I originally bought SC2 at release but I've never really been an online player so I just finished the single player campaign and put it on the shelf. Last year though, I stumbled across twitch.tv, and after browsing around a little I came across inControL's stream and I have been a SC2 and EG fan ever since.

And because SC2 has given me so many hours of entertainment delivered by a wide array of people from the big guys MLG and IGN, down to people sitting in their room streaming their matches I thought it was about time I gave something back.

I've been watching a lot of ChanmanV's episodes, both Pro Corner and Climbing the Ladder, and I'm really impressed by his work and by what he does for the community, it has helped my own play a lot. So when I wanted to put up some money for a tournament he was the first person that came to mind for someone who might want to help put it together as well as actually being able to do so, and luckily he was. And thanks to him and CSN we can now enjoy this tournament.

When I first started thinking of who I wanted to have in this bracket I had many ideas for what criteria I should use when it came to choosing the players. I could choose players that work hard, players that have taken chances, players that are good at giving back to the community, or simply players that I wanted to see more of. In the end I came to a conclusion that since I have 8 spots why not pick a little bit of everything.

There are a lot of good players out there to chose from for such a tournament, but these guys have something extra that made me want to have them in my bracket.

EmpireKas - One of the hardest working players in the scene something he really showed last season playing 1500 matches.

Beastyqt - He's a BEAST! Enough said! Currently in the Razer house with Mr Bitter working hard to become even better.

col.QXC - He's in my opinion the best terran in NA. He's been know for some experimental strategies as well as his aggression and multi-tasking

ALBabyknight - A player that might not be too well known to everyone, and to be perfectly honest I haven't seen much of him yet myself either, but he has shown some good results after switching over from DoTA and I want to see more of him. Definitely an interesting player for the future.

GLSnute - A fellow Norwegian who started playing full time this year, recently he also moved into the Ministry of Win gaming house in Poland. I really love that he's taking some chances to improve himself, and we've seen some good results from him already. His biggest achievement so far is probably winning the 2nd ONOG invitational. His stream is also known for being very educational.

iSAxslav - Another player with a great educational stream, and a very analytical one at that. Even though I'm a zerg I still learn a lot from him.

EG.Machine - The original Pro on ChanmanV's Pro Corner and that alone would be enough to get picked since I've learned so much from him. But I also love what he does on his own stream, good games, good commentary and the best music in the business.

EG.LZGamer - Another player who has a really great stream with alot of interaction with the viewers, the fact that he streams very often is also great. He has a tendency of being one of the very first so come up with builds and then have others get the honor for them, he is said to have been the true origin of both mass queen and mass reaper. Luckily we have Pro Corner to set things straight.

I would like to give a big thanks to the people who helped make this possible both Chris "ChanmanV" Chan and John Clark at CSN as well as all the players who are participating in the tournament in what is a really busy time for E-sports with HSC last weekend, NASL this weekend and MLG next weekend. So big thanks goes out to all of you, and may the best man win.

I hope you will all enjoy MY Favorites Bracket.

Zicoz

Really easy! Contact me (chanmanvproductions@yahoo.com) or John Clark (johnclark@cyber-sports.net) about your interest and hopefully you'll have your own MFBS tourney in the near future.

A person must provide their own money as the prize pool, right?

Kas will be playing Ritmix (RSL) grandfinals vs fraer at 6PM CET. Bo7. Unless he can finish that in 1 hour, how is he supposed to play here?^^

Haha, now I know why Kas stomped Fraer so quickly in a BO7, he just wanted to be in time for this.

Can't see anyone beating him, except for maybe Snute if he catches him off guard or maaaybe beastyqt.

Lol, this caster.

"I don't think the bracket is so clear cut. I wouldn't say that Kas is the favourite. Would you pick him over Axslav or qxc when he's on form?"

Well, yeah, kinda. xD

Edit: Aww, Kas is screwed. Well, probably shouldn't have gone marine-only for fun in the first game. Didn't work for Bomber against IdrA, didn't work for him here.

Well done by LZ, he did a good job capitalizing on Kas' errors.
