Gratz to ziktomini. And i think blizzard gave spots by population and by this sweden can be happy to have 3 slots.

Well Nani is 100% right. These arent really high level games and I doubt anyone of the players could come even close to qualifying through the sweden qualifier, while there are at least 10 swedes, who could EASILY make top 3 in this.

Yeah, he's saying what a lot of people are thinking, but he does it quite unprofessionally. Then again, there's a lot that can be said about the # of seeds for different countries in this tournament.

Sorry, who is thinking what Nani just said? You say a lot of people, I haven't seen a single person present a semi-decent argument supporting what he said haha. As many people have pointed out, if you wanted a fair representation, there would be 95% koreans. That's not what the WCS is about.

heh, anyone who actually CAN think would know what Naniwa said was ridiculous. Unless you want to give Korea 30 spots and the rest of the world 2 for the WCS (which would be the 'fair' representation).

Look at the number of slots. Germany gets 4, Sweden gets 3, same as the UK. Now anyone who knows anything about SC2 pro scene has to understand, why that is weird and why especially Swedish players are angry about this.

You forgot to write down your argument.

Trouble with that arguement is U.K. should then get 0 spots germany 1 sweden 1 ukraine 1 USA 1 and korea all the other spots.

Korea should get all the spots for the European Championship?

Yea sure lol

Well, german players get a direct seed to the international final while the swedes don't.

Beating Stephano 2times out of 2 in bo3s? xD

TSL Qualifier

But yeah its his biggest prize win ofc

Sorry but you are wrong. He didn't beat him in the TSL qualifier. Stephano no showed.

So only one Bo3, which is still impressive against Stephano.

Those finals were pretty bad. That final game was retarded. But good for the guy who won. That is a good thing about this blizzard event is that unknown players can come out and make a name, and beating Demuslim will do it.

Funny – just looked up that our WCS Nationals have 2 spots for final EU tournament and $2K prize pool, while UK has 3 spots and $15K.

I think (I could be wrong) that ESL put some more money in the UK tourney to get to that 15K.

I really enjoyed the event. ReDeYe brought his massive experience to stage and produced one of the only non-awkward host performances. Tastosis was there, so commentary was of course, the best. The level of play surprised me, I knew the UK had some really good unrecognized players, but I still expected bling v demuslim finals. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and no bitter tweets from other professionals can dampen that for me.

Starcraft is not big in the UK and any LAN/exposure we can get is fantastic.

Was brilliant! Shame I couldn't go Me and a few mates tried to get tickets from facebook, but they said that they were full. It's a shame because as its first come first basis, a lot of people on facebook probably just signed up straight away when they noticed Tastosis was going-- and then they realised, for whatever reason, they couldn't go. And people like me, who definitley would of gone got kinda shafted.

Anyways, awesome casting, brilliant host, great games. Had a good viewing experience, only thing I didn't like was extended series. Oh well. Good times.

Apparently it's based upon total player numbers in each country rather than the number of pros.

Yeah, I know what he did, but in terms of prestige this is much, much bigger than anything else.

For the money I would say you can nearly make the same things with 2k in U as with 15K in UK. And the spots should be depend on the population, maybe not of the country itself, but on the players playing this game or have bought it the past. Just my opinion.
