Which evidently means that he deserved his Code S spot this season. I don't think you understand my post. Just because your Code S caliber, doesn't mean you deserve to be seeded into Code S, especially if you've been given multiple seeds already and have chosen to live in Korea for the long term. His point was that Nani wasn't seeded this season: he earned it based on last season's results (Ro8 stays in Code S).
Anyway, you're wrong. Gom has clearly changed the rules: they choose 2 people from around the world who they feel deserve to have a shot at Code S. You can cry and say that's unfair, but that is the rules. According to GomTV one of the ones who deserved a shot at Code S was Naniwa (and I agree thoroughly: he even earned it at MLG Providence). He has clearly shown he can hold his own there over the run of 2 seasons, something very few people can do: Sen and IdrA got their asses handed to them. In fact, the only 2 other foreigners who have shown they have what it takes to do decently in the GSL are Huk and Jinro, and both have fallen behind the curve recently (or not so recently for Jinro).

It's not clear to me that this necessarily implies that the votes must be consistent.

I actually laughed, because I know a little bit of german and never heard of that word. When I looked up on google I found nothing as well.
I wasn't expecting him to say anything, so I didn't record it. T_T

Idra did as decently in an older Code S as Naniwa did last season so I'm not sure what you're getting at here. HuK has done so as well, and Jinro has done better.

He is still Code S because of a seed even if he managed to maintain it last season. No one should ever be seeded.

I don't remember and I look forward to when we get to see that. But I have to agree Stephano is definitely better. Stephano has man-handled plenty of top koreans while NaNi has "just" eeked out some impressive victories. Judging from the relative ease with which they have taken games, Stephano looks better by a fair margin imo. I don't think a Steph/Nani match would mean anything anyway, since PvZ is Naniwa's worst matchup and ZvP Stephano's best. That said I believe Stephano to be far superior, both by recent results and watching both's games. I'd have to agree, and I'm from Sweden When Naniwa plays his very best, he's on the same level as Stephano, but his average performance would place him slightly below Stephano.

Stephano is the best foreigner by a mile.

Naniwa is fighting bravely in enemy territory, while Stephano holds the ground from invasion in the home country defense. Can't wait until Stephano nydus worms into Korea to see who can hold the title as....... BEST FOREIGNER.
SOLID STEPHANO VERSUS
LIQUID NANILOT

Naniwa earned his code S seed in the same way Thorzain did and Violet did which is by doing well at foreign events. Every major foreign event now is basically like playing in Code A. This is also why you noticed a few non code S level players being sent to MLG (MVP sending there 3, Alicia who might be in line for next one). So to say they are just being handed out is wrong, they are being earned albeit in a different format than winning in Ro24 or winning in up/down.
