Squirtles run at IPL4 coming from Open bracket was equally impressive tbh. Though he didnt win the whole thing. I think he only dropped maps at the final series.

Last time I checked this thread Losira was 4 -0. Now I check it to confirm that IM had won and Symbol wins 5-0.

So now you're gonna tell me that's because terran players are naturally better, so that it's should be normal to find twice more of them than the other race players.
Stop that please, we're all really tired of this same refrain every time.
But that was just the truth : at the beginning of SC2, terran seemed stronger and funnier than other races, so an important number of top korean players picked Terran, one good half maybe...
But nowadays it's clearly the inverse : coachs picks only P in sc2-Proleague, and nearly only Z or P in GSTL, while most news Koreans talents are Z or P.... and everyone a bit honest in the scene, even Jaedong, Flash and Bisu, seems to agree that T is atm the weakest race

Could T be a little UP? Meh it's possibly I personal don't see it, considering how they still dominate. But using new to the game players opinions as balance facts was just stupid.

Symbol read Mvp like a book, Nestea devolved into Zergbong, and MC was afk.

Final game was a really nice game of Symbol, simply playing better overall, winning despite disadvantage and mistakes.

Regarding lots of Terrans in the GSL, I think it is also important/interesting to consider the strength of a race in a format where you know your opponent and you know the maps. Perhaps Terran has some sort of inherent advantage in being able to create better plans than P or Z, whereas P or Z can perform better when two random players are thrown together to compete ad hoc?
I feel like this is something that is always forgotten when people bring up T's dominance in the GSL. I wish interviewers would ask the top pros their thoughts on this. I can't remember it being asked.

yeah considering opinions of the bests RTS players ever and professionals SC2 coachs is just stupid, your own is probably better. LOL. good one.
Terran dominating nothing atm. They get smashed every day in GSTL and proleague. Wtih the exception of MVP, they were smashed by (often inferior) toss and zergs players last GSL. And i don't even talk of foreign scene ^^

I give the edge to MKP's all-kill because he had to play all MUs, so he had to play his worst MU.

Terrans not dominating anymore doesn't mean that they're necessarily underpowered.
You conveniently forgot about the possibility that they could be on par, or balanced, with other races.
Oh how comfortable we've all become with Terrans dominating the scene!

This
GSL format favors a bit terrans ( T had more variables and adjustable openings than Z or P, and 75% of T wins in GSL comes from early to mid-game advantage ), contrary to foreign tournaments and GSTL, where Z and P had always been more successful.

Is this the first "televised" reverse all-kill in SC2?
|
why did I miss today and why do I have no method of paying for a tix
holy shit losira and symbol
makes me feel better about switching to zerg
|
jesus symbol all killed. wow what a beast
|
Why wasn't a toss used (BOSSTOSS) to take down symbol? IM coach makes my head hurt.
|
I checked before I left for work this morning and saw IM was up 4-0 and was sad and angry then I check now and see that TSL wins 5-4..... Wow so impressive. Can't wait to watch the vods when I get home.
I just hope and hope that Symbol stays on TSL and doesn't suffer a similar fate to all their other aces and stars, and well players in general.
