Just watched the VODs. I feel the IM coach lost them another match. It happens every single season. Can't believe he sent out Yoda and Happy before MVP, and didn't play a toss.

Happy has historically very strong vZ, wasn't a bad decision. Yoda was the most questionable, I feel like maybe Seed would have been better. If MC was there then things might have been better for IM, his vZ is insane.

I agree. Looking at that list, it's weird to see only T and Z fielded against a rampaging Symbol. It seems like for the majority of the maps right now the korean teams prefer to send either zvz or pvz matchups, unless a terran player is significantly better than the other team's player. It would seem like fielding a P before Yoda would've made more sense.

Damn, just finished watching the VODs now, I'm really impressed by Symbol lately ^_^.

Coming back to win from being down 0-4... just wow. I love MVP and Nestea but this story is so much better than one of them just shutting down Symbol's kill streak.

Is MC not there? He would be a good zerg sniper.

No he was in the US for the NASL sunday show match and was going to be at MLG this weekend so is staying in the US this week to not have to fly back and forth.

MC here or not would not have mattered, this is fucking symbol!

MC beat Symbol in a BoX recently didnt he?

Symbol 2-0'ed him in MLG Arena

Oh I didn't know that. I know Symbol lost to MC 0-2 in Iron Squid though. I do think we still need to see more of Symbol's vP to judge. AFA his vT and vZ are concerned, he's really awesome and I'm becoming a fan !

Ironsquid was before the Queenbuff though right ?

Queen buff doesn't help in z v p. Its mainly for z v t.

Not true Queenbuff kills any scouting after for Toss once Queens are out until Observers and also helps with some pressure builds with Zealots .

Yes its bigger for ZvT but its not like it did nothing for ZvP.

Edit: Ah yes and the Stargate stuff is even weaker now ..

Stargate play ?? The queen buff only impacts ground units...

So now you're gonna tell me that's because terran players are naturally better, so that it's should be normal to find twice more of them than the other race players.

Stop that please, we're all really tired of this same refrain every time.

But that was just the truth : at the beginning of SC2, terran seemed stronger and funnier than other races, so an important number of top korean players picked Terran, one good half maybe...

But nowadays it's clearly the inverse : coachs picks only P in sc2-Proleague, and nearly only Z or P in GSTL, while most news Koreans talents are Z or P.... and everyone a bit honest in the scene, even Jaedong, Flash and Bisu, seems to agree that T is atm the weakest race

Can u tell me where u heard them saying that !? Also I think you guys need to stop saying that terrans koreans are just naturally better players. There is nothing to prove it, it's a very subjective point of view. Having as many great players for each race is statistically normal, having some deviation from this is possible, but you need much better arguments to prove what you say.

So, well.
Can we start agreeing that Zerg might be a bit too strong right now ? Or it's still too soon ?
I don't have the stats right in front of me, but zerg probably won more games during GSTL than terran and protoss together.

Also, check GSL race representation :
code A : T=14, P=12, Z=14
code S : T=13, P=10, Z=9
GSL overall : T= 27, P= 22, Z=23

Oh so protoss and zergs are starting to get close to the number of terrans !? What !? OMG terran is becoming such a weak race, Blizzard has to buff it as soon as possible !!

So now you're gonna tell me that's because terran players are naturally better, so that it's should be normal to find twice more of them than the other race players.

Stop that please, we're all really tired of this same refrain every time.

aint u feel boring for repeating this fact so often? look at GSTL, which race their coaches send out bcos the coaches know terran is weak currently.

Aint u feel boring saying terrans are very weak now !? I mean coaches sending out other races in team league may have so many other reasons than the fact terrans might be weaker. If they were weaker, there would be less terrans in GSL. But there are because they are able to win. And if they win, whey these same guys who are also part of GSTL are not chosen to play !? ... There is obviously something else than "terrans are weak, won't use them in team league". It just doesn't make sense.

And I mean even if I felt my race was kinda weaker than others, if it was dominating the pro tourneys like GSL, then I would just shut up and don't be indecent like that. This is what I mean. There is just no way you can open your mouth like this while pro tourneys are dominated by terrans and until you have good evidence that terrans are actually unfavored (for example by analysing the race balance statistics over a few months and at every rank).

Now it is said that SC2 is overall balanced AND terrans have been dominating in GSL for a while => when you watch GSL and u feel terrans are too weak, you keep it for yourself or your terran friends, and you just shut up. That's that simple !

Get it ?

umm not much you can do given that situation. He did as well as he could with that build

Yeah, he absolutely blind countered mech. No one has went blind upgraded roach in TvZ (not all-in) in the GSL for at least 6 months. Usually you have to transition into roach, instead he already had the upgrades and a much higher roach count than he should have at that point. Maybe after seeing the gas timings he knew MVP was going to go mech since he does do it on occasion against zerg. He didn't scout the armories or facts.
