The time has come for our nineteenth IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win. (Similar to IPL Team Arena, but without the teams!)
When: Monday, May 28 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at Tuesday, May 29 5:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00))
Last week, Polt defeated the interim champion dignitas.SjoW in a stunning 5-0 display! This week, he faces an amazingly good Protoss player in Creator.Prime! Will Polt continue his awesome streak, or will we see a new champion in Creator? Tune in to find out!
Nicenicenice matchup! Would probably give a bit of an edge to Creator, but I'm not really sure. Hope it's close, and that Creator pulls out the win in the end.
I would usually go for Polt without looking at his opponent, not that I'm a fan but his is pretty good. In this case I have to predict Creator though, 5-3 probably.

I find it unprofessional of IPL to put an outdated picture of Polt. People might think that this FC was organized as a team kill. Yea the LG Cinema 3D GSL Super Tournament was Polt's biggest win but he was in Prime at the time. IPL should put up a picture of Polt winning Assembly since that's a big tournament and he was in TSL. I always considered IGN to be really good at organizing events but judging by the OP, I'm not so sure anymore.

I really don't look at players' jackets to judge what team they are on nor do I think this makes them somehow not good at organizing events. It's just one picture, don't exaggerate.

That was a really good game to see the dynamic between colossus/viking/medivac. Creator made it difficult for Polt to decide between medivacs or vikings.

Also, two forcefields blocking the scvs out from repairing the bunker would have been far more useful than throwing down the guardian shield. That bunker needed to get sniped at all costs.
Guardian shield is very good against marines, but if there's an invincible bunker in your path and you're all-in, the game's over for the Protoss.

Sounds like it, I personally love the eSport tags, and have known that the Koreans have used real names for the entirety of BroodWar. No reason we should have to do the same thing. I love the casters with handles, players and even coaches sometimes. Using a real name is fine, imo, like 10% of the time, to kind of express that you know someone personally, but I don't want Husky to be Mike or Tasteless to be Nick. Their names kind of make people who are new curious to the persons history, I know I spent a good bit of time looking up Day9 games back in 2009. Early game doesn't favor terran at all, actually it's a wrongly perceived situation since terran players must kick in the aggressive play earlier (to even the balance/or even tilt the situation in their favor, so to say), because if they do not do that, they'll get "squashed (more or less)" during mid/late game.
As for this showmatch, my bet is on Polt (didn't saw any Creator.Prime matches lately so my bet goes on what I know already, also because Polt is such a nice guy you cannot, not to root for him)
