Because every foreigner gets this treatment, and rightfully so. The GSL is the toughest tournament in the world, and until you've seen how someone performs over there you can't say for sure how they'll measure up. Naniwa went through this plenty. Why is Stephano any different? Nani of course went on to - eventually - prove himself in the GSL after a few embarassments. Stephano might well perform better than Nani. But we don't know. | ||

Exactly. you don't have to like the guy. I'm typically not a fan of zerg. To deny that he isn't better than most people would be stupid. If he gets a favorable group in Code S he would do ok. I'm more curious to see how he would do in the knockout rounds when the koreans play specifically for him instead of him in a group. | ||

Don't forget Stephano was the king of mutaling in Europe in ZvT, and after that he popularized the ling/infestor/ultra fast upgrade style. And in ZvP he played with great success ling/infestor before the neural parasite nerf. And also his really endgame play in ZvP. I know you didn't say he is a one trick poney, but a lot of people are saying this in this thread so i wanted to fix that | ||
