This is so hard to call, anyone could win. All players are very evenly matched in my opinion, but it also means we'll probably see a lot of great games.
Well, mouz always had problems with Empire, even while Thorzain was part of it, so i am inclined to say that Empire is favorite here. Even more so cause mouz is already qualified.
Depends on ace match, Violet and VINES are not gonna lose though. Violet has really good ZvP so it wont be hard for him. And MorroW ZvP has been really weird recently.
At first I thought it should have been very close or even have gone to Mouz, but after actually looking at the matchups and state of both teams atm it looks like Empire has a pretty big advantage, gotta say.
Mana could have done so much more that game, getting pulled apart to basic drops, dts/hts for drop defense would have saved him so much headache and if he switched colossus before he started saccing loads of zealots he would have won ez

Both had their respective mistakes. As the casters pointed out, Kas' normally powerful macro was off at times during the game. Off day for both I guess.

Those were perfect forcfields, not only the placement, also the timing. Had he put them down a milisecond earlier violet could have just taken down the forge instead of the gateway with most of the 16 banelings still not used.

It was just goofy as fuck overall.
Yeah. Azael and DeMusliM did their best to occasionally make it sound like biGs could have come back in game one... but it really wasn't close at all lol Happy's multitasking was just too good.
Violet went for the fast 3base +1/+1 12 minute roach max, but he used up nearly all his larvae around 90 supply on overlords, so he had a dry period where he couldn't produce anything. Hasu hit with 4 Immortals, stalkers, zealots, a warp-prism, and like 10 sentries. Killed a lot of roaches around the Violet's third ramp, sacked the third, Violet countered with ~20 roaches and built ~10 spine crawlers in his natural. Hasu let his main and natural fall, but mined about 1200 minerals, so he ferried probes to the 6 o'clock base, and built a nexus, started mining there. Violet had like 35 minerals, 3 drones by the time Hasu was finished with Violet's main, Violet couldn't find Hasu's base, GGed out.
Hasu pylon blocked the natural, so Violet went for hatch at the third. Hasu killed the third, a queen, drones, and like 50 lings with sick sick cannon placement. Violet went for a 2base ling bane bust, Hasu got a stargate, but sent three zealots to pressure Violet's natural. Hasu saw 40 speedlings coming out of Violet's base. Hasu defended 15 banelings and crapton of speedlings with two sentries, flawless forcefields, cannons, and a secondary pylon wall. VRs and phoenixes went for harassment, Violet tried to go for infestors, but couldn't hold off Hasu's big gateway +2/+1 follow-up push.
Wow, Happy EMPed all the infestors and infestor/ broodling/ corruptor still raped the late game Terran army. biGs gave him all the time in the world to do anything he wanted too. gg wp!
Crazy game, reminiscient of MMA vs DRG in more than one way (barely leaves the pocket expand hatch alive, kills an expand while his main is being attacked). Happy couldn't quite pull the MMA though

Happy had that game won. His marines were 3-3 while biGs wasn't even on 2-2. If those marines and medivacs at the 3rd were with the main push, this set would have been Empire's. What a crazy series indeed

Happy could have afforded PLENTY of Ravens, which had he built earlier, would have been significantly more useful than Vikings. At the very least, even if Seeker isn't ready, you can PDD vs corrupters.
Happy chose vikings instead, and had some of the worst Viking splits I've ever seen... .

biGs should never have been allowed to get that army together in the first place. I've noticed from replays and VODs that every time a high-level Korean TvZ player sees a potential deathball forming, he engages straightaway, sometimes inefficiently, if only to limit the BL/Infestor count, and drops every expansion that Zerg has. I think Happy could have played it better with pre-emptive viking splits and more marines instead of Thors. He already had the Ghosts to EMP the infestors. I feel MMA vs DRG game 7 is the way late-game TvZ should be played.
Kinda meh game. Morrow played ultra greedy, but smartly abusing the awful match up design. Vines miscalculated his timing. But a misake from morrow lost the game for him u.u
I think he gave away too many infestors in his first hold. He only had 3 left, and I don't think they had any energy even if they had been in position under the broodlords.
If there is one thing I hate more than anything else from Protoss it has to be this lol. So ridiculously frustrating to play against when you get FF'd out of your main.

You talking about the gimmicky plays like that? I don't disagree, just not sure what you're referring to specifically.
I really hate forcefield in general (coming from a random player). If they never implemented it, things would have ofc had to have been balanced completely differently, but possibly for the better...

All the games from biGs vs. Happy were entertaining. Kas vs. MaNa on Entombed Valley was good (although there was some sloppy play). VINES vs. biGs on Entombed Valley was probably the best game of the night.

Slight spoiler about bigs vs Happy below, just my opinion on one of the games. + Show Spoiler +
Game 3 I didn't enjoy on Shakuras at all. It felt like Happy and Biggs didnt' really play well on either side. Happy could have slammed bigs easy but didn't realize he had a mini army at his third. His push without the extra marines/medivacs still almost killed Happy, who was overly patient, constantly running into siege tank fire and retreating out of it when he should have committed and simply smashed happy, which dramatically lowered his supply. Only reasoning I can see is that he wasn't sure how many troops Happy had so he was just getting rid of the front line marines pushing forward. Biggs knew taking out the front marines wouldn't be cost efficient by doing this, but felt he had no choice and did it to buy time from a push he thought was much stronger than it actually was.
Second spoiler... includes the actual results if you haven't seen them
The way Happy engaged the BL army with his vikings made me want to puke... a TON of clumped vikings that got fungaled no problem and wiped out. That, and he honestly should have built ravens, as he had 0 minerals, 2.5k gas. I think this bothers me more than most people since I've been an avid user of ravens lategame TvZ since the release of the game. I started using Ravens before people discovered the power of ghost snipe in TvZ, and by that point, I had already developed my gameplay to have raven transitions, so I kept using ravens and still do to this day
Mouz is still looking strong, even without Thorzain and I still think they can win the whole thing even though the other 3 teams that will make the playoffs (fnatic, slayers, col) will most likely field 4 koreans in every match.
Hasu completely destroyed Violet and Bigs is looking better and better. Mana and Morrow are also good enough to take out Koreans, although Mana seems to be in a bit of a slump lately.
