'Stephano went 0-3 in the first pool at the last Dreamhack Winter which I attended, people have off days The Nani-Stephano comparison is tough for a variety of reasons. Naniwa places GSL above all else, and indeed doesn't attend as many foreign tournaments to focus on this. At the last Dreamhack the guy admitted he hadn't even played a PvZ in weeks due to focusing so hard on his GSL matches. Stephano focuses on placing in foreign tournaments, which is where the money is really, and is less concerned about the prestige of the GSL. Stephano's best matchup is ZvP, which is Naniwa's worst matchup, so even head-to-heads don't really split them particularly. I just don't think Stephano has done anything that puts him on another plane to Nani.'

(MLG, Dreamhack, TSL) I know lucifron has beaten thorzain in Scan invitational but that's a minor tournament. Kas has beaten MKP at WCG and gotten 3rd. Kas also got 3rd at another European tourney (IEM or dreamhack, don't remember) by beating Zenio.

I just don't think Stephano has done anything that puts him on another plane to Nani. Yeah, Naniwa has a great set of results on his own list. He's taken out top Korean players and he's placed high in the GSL, albeit helped by a decent bracket. What I want to say though is that Naniwa and Stephano are diametric opposites in personality. Naniwa is introverted and obsessively competitive. Stephano is charismatic and carefree. Naniwa trains extremely hard. Stephano trains the minimum.

His winrate, skill, winning purse, and results surpasses any other foreigner by now, yet some people just won't see it for what it is until he competes in GSL. It will never end, Stephano could win the GSL and his haters would still find something to try and bring him down. Not only is he the best foreigner, he is one of the best players.. period.
