Probably means that protoss transition is the easiest, or that protoss play a style that's most suitable for BW gamers. 2. Basic mechanics, like micro, macro, army control, etc. seems on par or almost on par with top SC2 progamers 3. Decision-making and overall game sense ranges anywhere from good to downright awful 4. Strategies are generally generic and not very awe-inspiring Protoss did really well because for no one bothered pressuring them. They just built up to a deathball and rolled everyone. Same thing with Flash v Effort, when do you see a TvZ these days with 0 hellion harass?

These people would defeat mid masters players on macro and micro alone, regardless of strategy. But it is true they're decision making is questionable. Macro wise, they are top foreigner level already. have not seen all the games but, i've seen some pretty bad macro also by some(the guy jangbi was playing for example) that was pretty terrible being behind 36 to 44 workers(and macroing at this stage of the game is not hard at all) while going for a eco build and not getting damaged is pretty bad even with chronoboosts and it took like 30 sec for him to upgrade his third command center. also first expos being placed with more then 100 minerals floating, 'facepalm'. thats not quite top foreigner lvl by any stretch of the imagionation jangbi nailed both his macro and micro though, and could well be at that lvl.

Macro wise, they are top foreigner level already. I wouldn't call it impressive, but I agree with the rest of your post pretty much. It's obvious that they lack game sense (and knowledge), and their builds weren't super refined (or even refined at all), but it's also pretty obvious that they're very fast, respond quickly, pay attention to detail and small tactical elements of the game, and have strong fundamentals in general. It's also clear that they were always trying to play "correctly" in terms of general RTS gameplay, even if it wasn't always the right thing to do in SC2. This is definitely NOT the Masters level of play - the overall efficiency of their play might be on Masters level, but Masters / GM amateur players tend to have very good understanding of the game while having terrible mechanics, whereas for the most part Kespa progamers showed the exact opposite.

And there was exactly one TvZ today, which doesn't really say much about how these players would play the MU in general
