I like that MVP mixed up the cheese style from his Naniwa games. I mean, terran are stronger early game, and MVP is good enough to push that edge hard. I think MVP just got lucky with partings move out on game 1, but that second game was crazy skillful.
I really want Parting to win, but man, I won't be surprised at all if he can't come back, MVP is sick good.

Its gotten to the point where Protoss are whining if they arent allowed to get a colosus at 7th minute. Nobody wants to play vs P late game, so you should expect aggression.

Finally this much needed transition in the meta game is hapening!
Ive had enough of maps like Calm Before The Storm that gives players that chance to move towards a faster macro game rather than these exciting pushes. You learn more about the actual game seeing how meta gaming works well.
Glad MVP is taking a massive swing at the current meta game like this, maybe we will see less of that fast macro modes and back to good old days of timing attacks

Tasteless is really fanning the flames by saying MVP is cheesing. It shows his bias as a protoss player. In G1, MVP did a perfect timing before Parting had psi storm (it was halfway done). Yes, he pulled scv's, but not enough to be necessarily an all-in. It was the perfect counter to Parting's 2 collossus/psi storm play. G1 was NOT a cheese and could have been stopped with more aggressive play/units from Parting. Parting got collossus and then was rushing to psi storm off two bases. It was greedy and MVP punished it with the perfect timing.
In G2, MVP 1-1-1'ed but Parting made a lot of mistakes by not scouting it (he had plenty of opportunities). Parting also made a mistake by not breaking the rocks and opening a flanking route as Artosis pointed out. Blizzard already patched this game many times to stop 1-1-1 from being OP against toss. If Parting had had better scouting/decision-making, he could've stopped MVP.
People need top stop pulling an Idra and whining about cheese.

-Maybe consider MVP 3x GSL champion, nearly all on macro games alone. (history)

lol why are you people complaining about MVP's strats? If anything, it shows versatility and preparation as MVP's exploiting the holes in Partings early/mid game play. As far a I'm concerned, you play to win not play to get positive feedback in the community. Because at the end of the day, It's the tournament money that pays while everybody's opinion remains worthless.

Hopefully parting can respond to these timing attacks and play his natural game. I don't really care that MVP is doing stuff that's to his advantage - good on him for trying to win in the manner his experience dictates is the best! It's more I want to see out of Parting, not MVP.
