I find it funny that Mvp was "slumping" because he fell in the Ro16 and instantly came back via Ro24, while MarineKing hasn't made it past Ro16 since Super Tourny/WC.

I don't know how this happened, but I just read StarTale_Penguin instead of Parting. Kinda like that name better, though.

Oh damn, I've no clue what protoss should beat Mvp when he plays like this, he played really great.
Also, 2nd semis comming, hoping for HerO to make it through! Should be cool to watch PvP

omfg - somebody might have just had an epiphany :D

Fellow terrans - join your enlightenend brethren and please STOP with the massive amount if whining that has been going on the last couple of months.

Someone who usually likes reading LR threads on TL.

as long as protoss players stop whining about losing to timing attacks and all ins, then there wont be a problem. the match up is far from ideal though. on both ends.

How about the match up is horrible beyond repairing? On BOTH sides.

Been arguing that for a while to be honest; don't expect any Terrans to accept that view however. It's easier to whine about how OP and lacking in skill Protoss is because apparently we can just magically build a huge army and conjure up Colossi from nowhere and roll over the Terran.

Ignoring the fact it's an absolute nightmare to GET to that huge army, and one misplaced forcefield or storm or one bad split of templars can be GG.

I can't help thinking there's something wrong with Protoss race design, all the match ups involving Protoss seem to be the worst to watch. Not sure quite what that is though.

This is the curse of terran, one could argue that MVP and PartinG are similar in skill. But, terran is better early game and MVP is good enough to force wins through that advantage. Parting is so good late game that he smashes MVP, but has a hard time getting there. This is the reason why Terran have won so many tournaments and the double edge sword that cause so many weak terran players to cry imba. If you can't power out an competitive edge early enough, then get out of terran, cause it's the race of fast beats. And MVP, he's the meanest, fastest terran out there.

This is the curse of Blizzard forgetting how to design a positional game.

How was that game not positional? It was extremely positional, but very fast paced. If the stalkers were any closer to those medivacs the drop would have failed hard, the re-position MVP did just before he dropped won him the game. (I still think parting could have focused fired better)

Even the loss that MVP suffered was because his army started in a terrible position that PartinG spotted with his obs.

That seems like a great attitude to have. "everything's broken and can't be fixed ("

Sorry, but I can't wait for a random MKP vs Parting to actually enjoy a TvP. When I see a match up my attitude should be "this is gonna be interesting", not "this is gonna be boring most probably".

That's quite a bit different from "broken and can't be fixed.".

Who cares?

If protoss plays greedy, they should be allined as punishment. More terrans should allin and force them to play more safe, making the terran standard play better.

Who cares?

If MC did his 2 base aggressive play to go this far TL would be all over him.

so much anger...he played standard in 3 games...

the idiots are out in full force tonight unfortunately.

mvp played 3 of the most standard tvp's you can play. it's not his fault parting blows at dealing with double medivac timings and likes to walk down his ramp at the definition of "anti-timing".

You missed his point. Out of the round of 32 players... Not this set in isolation.

You're running out of chances haters.

That's kinda true lol. Seems like ppl have doubted MVP this entire season.

As a MVP fan, I've been doubting him the entire season. Every interview he mentions how much his wrists hurt, his micro has definitely fallen from what it used to be. He didn't fly to IPL4 to rest. Had me worried entire season.

Yet here he is~

Whining is just too mainstream these days. So many people thinking their race is what's holding back their pro-gaming career.

One huge drop can win you games, yet people QQ about Protoss late game...

Thats SC2... if those feedbacks or the first Stalker volleys would have killed 2 of those 4 medivacs before fully unloading, it would have went the other way =/
Kinda like Parting got 5-8 free marines/marauders and 2 medivacs "for free" in Game #3 making that game seemingly one-sided as well =/

Oh well, thats PVT, 1 bad engagment and its over, still a nice series - just too short for a semfinals in the most important tournament in the world XD

I don't understand this 'that's sc2' argument being applied to this game. Yes if you fuck up and let your opponent doom drop your base, you'll lose. His obs position wasn't as good as it could be. For example, he could have had 2 obs around the unpathable areas of the base and pretty much be able to see every possible drop area + obs can't be sniped. His obs was out of position (the first one), and the second one got there too late.

Same thing happens in BW...people are just so good in that game now you don't see stupid mistakes like that. Flash almost had huge comeback vs Fantasy doomdropping his main, he was just behind already so it barely didn't work. MVP wasn't behind, his drop worked out enough to win.

Parting lost game one for a huge anti-timing moveout and messing up his forcefields.
Parting lost game two by forgetting how to respond to 1-1-1.
MVP lost game three by miscontrolling his army.
Parting lost game four by fucking up as I explained earlier.

The only reason MVP won game 1,2,4 and four were by Parting messing up (game four being the most excusable imo). But when MVP consistently plays people who don't make stupid errors, he'll have to evolve his play, as will Toss when they play Terrans who can consistently engage lategame well.

As people get better you won't see errors like this and so games will be longer, or at least I think and hope they will.
RIP GOMTV. RIP PROLEAGUE.
