lol that's actually an amazing comparison that I hadn't thought of.
Admittedly the stephano timing isn't "lategame" at all, but still.

Dat jaedong hair. Gogo hero, don't wanna see Colossking make the finals.

He had the most disappointing display of skill of all the 32 codeS players, and he made it to the finals thanks to a train of allins.
If STC does it, he's called theSTCheese and blamed by everyone, if MVP does it, "OH WELL ITS HIS WRISTS" "GAME GENIE OMFG BEST GOGO 4TH GSL" "OMG DAT PERFECT TIMING" so much anger...he played standard in 3 games... You missed his point. Out of the round of 32 players... Not this set in isolation.
People who seriously think he looked the worst out of all ro32 players are kidding themselves. Seriously, just think about it for a second.

haha this, and when they play vs their own race, they just call it a coinflip MU.

Someone who usually likes reading LR threads on TL. I don't think most terran players are saying tvp is unwinnable ever. It's just unwinnable lategame and terran HAS to do damage early-midgame, which is bad design. Every race in every matchup should have an option to either attack or defend (provided that you properly scout/macro/etc), but in tvp terran HAS to attack. It's not unwinnable, that's just plain false. If Terran don't do damage then they are in bad shape yes but this is true in other matchups. Why is TvP being singled out here? Go play a game against Zerg and don't attack at all, see how that works out for you. Protoss have the same thing in PvZ, you don't put on pressure and you get crushed. What you are saying wasn't even true in BW.
no ur rong
two can play the same game. only blizzard blatantly stated that protoss has a huge advantage lategame and terrans are forced to attack.

if hero wins this i wont feel so bad even if he beats MVP in finals

GO Heroooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Well said, the only Protoss I can watch for hours without getting bored is HerO. His control/micro is just sexy.

We have the most awesome players in GSL, who cares what race they play? You sir, you are a genius. Why can't we all get along and watch some great starcraft!

You're running out of chances haters. That's kinda true lol. Seems like ppl have doubted MVP this entire season. As a MVP fan, I've been doubting him the entire season. Every interview he mentions how much his wrists hurt, his micro has definitely fallen from what it used to be. He didn't fly to IPL4 to rest. Had me worried entire season. Yet here he is~
I really hope Hero wins and he can play safe and not die to early all ins vs MVP so we can see a nice long series.
The nice thing about hero also, is he has some all ins to throw back.
|
I really want HerO to win. That way either Mvp wins a 4th or TL gets a royal roader! :D
|
ok now that the terran players are gone, who do you guys think is gonna be the one to take on MVP?
|
Called it. MVP is too seasoned and experienced to lose.
It's kind of like having Jordan vs LeBron, if both were the same age, today. A former consecutive champion will always persevere.
GOOOOOOOOO HEROOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!

Then he's just wrong, considering Mvp played standard macro in ro16 and ro32.

Come on, Squirtle! It's your GSL to win!
