The whole "it's the players not the race", didn't stop the whining and nerfs against Terran. Why should it be the case now?

To be fair, last season... wasn't that DRG vs. Genius finals? Weren't the other two semi-finalists both Terran?
It's been called GomTvT for a reason. Terran has always had a majority in Code S, and now it's nice for there to be an equal number of Protosses as Terran. I feel really bad for the Zergs though x.x

So true. Look at the constant nerfs of Terran. And now that Protoss is pounding them left right and center you expect nobody to call out some balance issues?

I beg to differ. Protoss players are all specialists in one matchup. I havent seen a well rounded protoss yet. That definitily takes a lot away from the "best players" argument.

What stats graphs or win percentages are you looking at? Just out of curiosity.
And constant nerfs of Terran? They got nerfed in the past because they needed to get nerfed. Terran is- by far- the most successful race in SC2. And they were completely raping both Zerg and Protoss (go look at the TLPD monthly winrates), and something needed to be done. Maybe the nerfs weren't in the right spots- and hopefully *as close to balance as possible* eventually gets achieved, but when the data and tournament wins reflect the fact that Terran has won convincingly throughout nearly the entire history of SC2, expect there to be a few nerfs. That's what happens.

Because protoss hasn't had 20 players in the first round for seasons. Protoss was nowhere for months, not in the GSL or anywhere else. Everything was being dominated by Terrans. Now, why should people not whine about balance now? Because Terrans are still winning tournaments goddamnit, MLG and IPL included. Terrans can still win it, it's not the race that keeps them down as MKP and ALive and so many other Terrans are showing. Soooo really, what's left is just the players themselves.

Pounding left right and centre? Pretty sure there are still 3 Terrans left and many more that had the ability to move on. Keep in mind that Parting & Squirtle alone took out like 5 top tier Terrans. If not for them, we could be seeing 5-6 Terrans (MKP, MMA, ForGG) in the ro8. We need innovative new terrans, like Maru & Supernova!
ps; you may or may not have noticed there are 0 zergs in the next round. I think this is totally due to player concerns, and not racial concerns as well.

Genius, HerO, Oz, Parting, MC, NaNiwa, Squirtle. Which of those Ro16 protoss players are bad overall but only shine in one matchup?
Everybody has a best matchup. PartinG will crush terrans left and right but he still managed to take out DRG and MC at MLG. I think you're mistaking being a specialist in one single matchup with being the absolute master of one matchup and being good at the others.

This recent trend in Protoss success hasn't coincided with the numerous Protoss buffs and Terran nerfs for no reason.

Now that I think about it, Oz would really deserve to be the new protoss champion of the GSL. For the sole reason that he managed to hang in there for so long.

Dunno why people are whining about balance; what happened was a bunch of the good PvTers got knocked out in the first group stage match-ups, and MKP blew his big chance yesterday. I'm a Terran, and watching MKP/Polt play TvP makes the MU look stupidly imbalanced for Terran. When Parting plays, he makes PvT look imbalanced against anyone who isn't MKP and Polt.
