I think he just needs to get past MVP then pretty much the favorite to win the whole thing with GSL being so protoss heavy
Squirtle is the big favourite now, in my opinion. He almost won IPL4 already and has played very consistent, and he has shown impeccable PvP in the last months.
I'd rate him quite a bit higher than Naniwa. The only problem is that Taeja is super good as well.
On a side-note, "just needs to get past MVP" looks and sounds so incredibly strange. Makes it seem so easy.
I just realized, that new GSL intro movie showing all the supposedly top players; all of them, except for MVP, dropped out of ro16 or earlier and are now in Code A. lol how sad/funny
I wouldn't give too much chance to Naniwa, it's fucking MVP in front of him and everyone is acting like it'll be a formality for Naniwa. The first map will be very important imo.

The real problem is that TvParting is one of the few enjoyable protoss matchups, and we'll have a PvP instead TT

Well it's not really THE MVP, due to wrist problems. On top of the fact that TvP is his worst MU, and taking consideration of the current TvP meta-game, I'd say Naniwa has a pretty good chance, especially in a Bo5.

The trending templar first style, however, has consistently lead to really back and forth, high action games. PvT as a matchup could finally be evolving into a fantastic one
Finally? Since the GSTL finals it is the best matchup.

I know, I also agree that Nani has a good chance. But everyone is already considering Nani being in ro4 already, that makes me nervous :p

Beat MVP once: OMG DRAGONSLAYER WTF?!?!?!
Beat MVP twice: Ha told you he could do it again!
Face MVP 3rd time: pfft, MVP ezpz, he has no wrists ffs
I'm happy whichever player goes through... would love to see Naniwa go far, but I heart MVP too!

Now hold on just there champ, TvZ is still the best matchup by a landslide.

A lot factors in here: 1) Naniwa is riding on a lot of momentum here. 2) TvP has always been tough for MVP. 3) MVP is not in his best condition, nor is he likely going to be again unless something miraculous happens to those wrists of his.
Edit: Also, Naniwa has beaten MVP in the past, so it's certainly possible that he could do it again.
It still probably won't be an easy match, but I think it's fair to say that Naniwa is favored right now.

They're like the biggest rivals that have never met yet in a tournament. I'm sure Oz hate Parting, so that makes Oz Dark Vador.
