Congratulations to Stephano. What a one sided affair. I'm curious how he will do in Korea, as there doesn't seem to be a foreign pro that can reliably beat him. I think he will do ok, he will be like an average Code S player or good code A player. He recently lost series to MC 3-5 and Hero 1-2

I think he will do ok but not phenomenal. When it comes to raw skill he can take on anyone imo, but it GSL players have a lot of time to prepare specifically for one match and their opponent and all the Koreans get a lot of help from their teammates. That's gonna make it much harder for Stephano.

He can still improve too, playing in korea against the best players will help a lot.

And I don't think stephano will make the effort to study every opponent he met in GSL. He's just not that kind of player.

It would be so friggin hilarious if he went to GSL and somehow would win it like he just won this.
Everyone would be just like.. But.. Eh.. Why.. How.. Ugh.. Wtf?
Not that i believe there is even a chance that this will happen, but the facial expression on my and everyone elses faces would be so priceless.

good tournament, excited for hsc 5

Imo bad move of Steph to go to korea he should just grind EU tours. But on the other side no idea what he gets for his Code S appearance so might be worth it..

Gladly even for Stephano its not all about the money. You should always aim to compete with the best.

He has to go or he will probably get bored pretty soon

yeah thats what im thinking too, hes generally on a very high level, but i believe after lonestar tournament he said something like polt was the first player he ever prepared for specifically, because he was having problems against him. If he doesnt prepare for his gsl opponents, i dont think he'll go very far

Off course he will prepare for his GSL opponents. You know who you are playing days or weeks in advance, he doesn't prepare for his opponents simply cause he doesn't have to. But it's pretty safe to assume he will do that in GSL Code S :p

Never been about the money for him. He even skipped a dont remember 5k final vs Kas because he was tired? :p
I just dont think he will do very well, variance is so high in GSL and he might even get owned the first match he plays..

Where can I find the VODs?

Might just happen, but then i would blame it on him being nervous and not lack of skill or not being prepared, because he definetly has the potential to go far if he can play his game.

Here you can get the end of the grid, it wassnt updated in Liquipedia ( i guess due to the time in the US?)

He shouldn't be nervous considering how many tournaments he plays in, so that's a bad excuse. His opponents could you know be better?

Please don't start making predictions about his GSL run AGAIN. Leave it be. We'll see how it goes.
