Was looking forward to Puma vs Stephano all day. I am not Stephano's fan or something, but you people... Guy went to vacation with his FAMILY and bunch of you folks acting like he didn't play this match because he doesn't care or something. (doesn't matter he didn't notice NASL earlier at least not for the point I am trying to make, his match wouldn't be played anyway.) I don't care about that. But do you realize how many times he has not shown up to online tournaments. Hell he even forfeited the finals of one tournament because he was "tired". Almost any other pro would show more passion and gratitude for being allowed in a tournament than Stephano... Your posts pretty much comes down to you not caring about anything but the entertainment he can give you, when he fails to do that you hate him.
I would argue that his posts pretty much come down to Stephano not taking plenty of tournaments seriously, or their rules, or the fans that want to watch him play in the tournaments that he signs up for and then ignores (including Millenium's own tournament, which he didn't show up for after agreeing to play in, and is now temporarily banned from... how can you even ignore your own team's Pro Cup and let your team down countless times in both that tournament and other team tournaments x.x).

Now theres a shocker, Stephano not showing up for scheduled matches. @_@
Amazing how nothing is ever done about this.

Oh didn't know his own team temp banned him from their own cup, glad someone finally has the balls to do something like that. Though still, some of the things that Stephano skips I feel need some sort of statement by him or his team.

You argue poorly based on his two posts, in this thread, then. Imo Bringing those things up when he is just on a skiing vacation with his family shows an egoistical attitude about him being inconvenienced because he could not watch Stephano play a match versus Puma for his entertainment. Since they hardly have much in common with this current situation (Stephano skiing) versus earlier situations (Stephano skipping games for less acceptable reasons) Except one thing, he didn't end up playing the match that this dude who hates him wanted to see. Do you hate him, too? Or are you a bit more balanced in who end up in the box of people you feel justified to directly hate as a person?

Any time I see Stephano's name in an online tournament like this I'm just going to assume there's at least a 50% chance he no shows. No excuses anymore, he does this more consistently than like any other player. It's super obnoxious to the fans really. I'm still a fan but really, I hate the idea that he's just using his success to get away with being highly unprofessional, it doesn't work like that. I hope Millenium isn't taking this so lightly.

Ugh @ that march of death done by Brat_OK gross to watch a platoon of marines just kite 20 miles and just destroy so much
kinda feel like zealot charge should be baseline when I see that

Stephano was to play the game while on holiday unless it is realized that internet suck and did so could inform only the first day of vacation. (I don't know if this version is true I read it on the millenium site).

What has any of that got to do with Stephano not being able to play this game because he has a family vacation? Nothing.
The simple fact is that people take vacations. That happens. Other people can get inconvenienced from time to time because people are on vacation. Anyone who has worked a job knows this is true. That's just part of life. Hardly an issue worth getting your knickers in a twist.

Considering you're assuming everyone who rolls his eyes at Stephano being a no-show... which is the norm... must hate him, it's a bit hypocritical to say anyone else is jumping to conclusions.
I have incredibly great respect for Stephano as a player. Amazingly talented. Possibly the best foreigner (or top three at least, not going to argue between Naniwa and others). However, he has not earned my respect as a person, because of his consistent immaturity and terrible decision-making. He's generally irresponsible and doesn't take tournaments seriously. I think he has a lot of growing up to do in general. That's my opinion, and it comes from a multitude of Stephano's controversies.
I don't hate him. That doesn't make sense. I don't know him personally.

Stephano took a vacation and so could not play this game. Some people make it sound like a crime. You want his family to postpone their family vacation for another 2 months when NASL is finished? How exactly does that fit in to the ski-season? You think there will be much ski-ing to be done in June?

To bring up reasons to point out how you find him immature, irresponsible and "it is the norm he is a no-show" <-- statements like this. That, is the type of thing that does not demand respect for someone's person. If you ask me. You decided to foam at the mouth for no logical reason, at Stephano, the eagerness to do so is what can be telling.

I don't think anyone said it's a crime, but I only read through the entire thread once.
However, Xeris did note that if a player can't play in a match, NASL needs to be notified a week in advance to set up the new match (and he gave great justification for this protocol), and Stephano didn't abide by the rules (and Stephano very commonly ignores the rules whenever he leaves a tournament, regardless of how innocent the rationale ends up being).
A lot of us are just upset that Stephano didn't make an effort to try and set up a new time to play with Puma. That's just pretty much it. We feel let down. It's certainly not a crime, but it seems that he's not that serious about the tournament.
And, for the record, I'm sure he knew about his family vacation more than a week in advance.

So justifying an opinion with evidence is... illogical? o.O ::head explodes:: Double signing contracts, playing in simultaneous tournaments and then quitting, leaving countless tournaments (including Millenium's), etc. These aren't good reasons to not care for a person's character? Have you not followed these Stephano problems? All right, well suit yourself. I'm not going to talk about this anymore and muck up the thread. He's not even a part of tonight's games.
