Noone should hate on Naniwa for his code S seed. He said himself that he thinks it unfair that anyone gets that advantage but what's he gonna do? Decline it?

Extremely solid play and he continues to show that he is the foreign hope.

Naniwa. I wish there was a log of posts by the haters about you getting GSL seeds. It would be like a one thousand page thread of irony.

The biggest is from HuK who was BM over Twitter about NaNi's seed.

Humble pie.

Rofl HuK has got seeded its not Naniwa's fault HuK never did anything with it... he sounds jealous.

I actually was thinking... what about GOM organizing a "foreigner qualifier tournament" with one or two seeds for code A as the prize?

at least this would end the "he not deserved it" feeling , and we would have some kind of qualifier for the foreigners to get there so GOM would have their "foreigner spots" filled.

im so happy that Naniwa make it through ,but i also dont agree with code S seeds , im ok with code A.

If he actually gets the GSL... that would be HUGE even with the seeding.

I actually really like this idea.
Maybe something like three qualifiers, one for EU, one for SEA and one for NA, have the top 12 players (top four from each) compete in a mini-tournament and if they want to give a code S seed give it to the winner while the second place gets up/downs and third gets code A. Or however they want to do it, I liked when the seeds were for MLG, those were earned and there was a lot less argument over how legitimate the guys who got them were.
TL Mafia. Love it. Play it. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/index.php?show_part=31 I find Kennigit really attractive. If anyone has a picture of him please feel free to PM it to me.

I hate all protosses, thus today's results were so-so

However, if you told me beforehand if I would accept the results, I'll probably be ok with it

I want the terrans to stand against the rise of the protoss!

Sick!!!! Naniwa may have gotten the seed, and on some level it’s definitely unfair, but being unfair is not indicative of his play. He has obviously proven that he can be Code S material. Go Naniwa! Our foreign hope! My only fear is in the later rounds he gets caught slipping to some cheesy builds.

U mean like when Idra got invited for no good reason except that he was popular? That was BAD, at least Nani has some results, all Idra has to show for his career is he has a lot of people watching his stream..

It's so sick how people can ignore everything a player has acomplished when he doesn't play good for a couple of months

A couple of months? what? he has never won anything that was worth winning, he won that IEM vs Puma and that's it. He has never won an MLG with koreans in it or even get to the finals, he completely wasted his seed for code S by getting pwnd and then getting pwnd to code A, what a waste to invite that guy. He had ONE good showing at one mlg where he beat bomber but that's not enough to hype him to the levels he gets hyped.

You forget he WAS code S before he left Korea, finished in Ro8.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2011_Sony_Ericsson_Global_StarCraft_II_League_January/Code_S

All i said was that he never WON anything worth winning, I never said he never placed well or ignored his code s thing he did when everyone was a noob at the game. I'm very much aware, all i'm saying he didnt deserve a seed based on popularity and the way he gets hyped is like he won every gsl from then till now. Now a decent showing would be he gets back on code s without a seed and wins it , or AT LEAST get to the finals.

No one has been hyping him like hes a GSL champion worthy player. I hate these invisible boogey men arguments because im sure yes one person on these forums thinks he can win a GSL code S right now but that in no way represents an opinion worth forming a worldview over. I would say he probably did deserve the seed purely because he was never eliminated from it in first place. I would also say his handful of event wins since then would not qualify him for code S were he not otherwise in it previously.

Ok then give Rain his spot back, he never really left either so give him a code S seed . That is a really stupid argument, he left korea so he forfeit any code s he might have once had. Just like he did AGAIN just now cause he got roflstomped to code A and hes "too good" to play that even tho hes no better than code A players. He got invited cause he gets 14-10k viewers on his stream nothing more, one win in IPL1 vs a bunch of noobs and one IEM does not make him deserving of anything and that hardly counts as "a handful of wins". He always gets hyped up as God of SC2 in NA which is why last year you almost always saw him opening MLG and what not, he is way too bad of a player (Compared to others) to get hyped so badly.

Code S Group B Ro16 is going to be pretty huge to see who gets second place to face Naniwa in Ro8

if it's Hero, then Naniwa has a pretty legit chance to make Ro4

So happy for Nani.
No only because he's in ro8, but because he's now really in the GSL circuit ! He'll be in code S next season, after all that time in Korea it's nice to have good things happen to him :-)))

Nani will be the first foreigner to win a gsl. Maybe this one is a little soon, but if anyone can ever win one it's him.
