This is not the place to talk about LoL viewership.
This is also not a place to caster bash/balance whine/flame, etc.
Please don't argue about how many views LoL has, or which game is better, or we will be upset. (added page 174)
Also, lay off Scarlett please. (added page 227) |

It had exactly the same problems with it and quality from this IPL is way better then MLG, even the 480p is freaking good, let alone the 720p @ 60fps which is pure awesomeness. It had a bumpy start today with sound and color problems, but it's absolutely brilliant now and i love all the stats they are throwing around. MLG had four streams and showed tons of games outside of pool play. Weren't 2 of those stream only available to subscribers though?
Yes, but the option was there for those who chose to subscribe. Here I am stuck with nothing more even if i wanted to spend the 5 dollars (I have bandwidth limitations so 720 isn't a big deal to me)

40k to 1st place.
Props to IPL for that.

the two other streams are never up for me, i think there was like two games stream that i noticed and lani running around for a bit in the start, rest of the time theyve just dormant with a ad screen or some rerun of whatever interview content they had made..

the open bracket has a ton of interesting matches...i think IPL really missed the opportunity. The downtime between games is too much and the second stream doesn`t air many games.

Also, the nice thing about these tournaments is that they're kind of like a free GSL once you get past the opening brackets.

It's working now because he destroyed Puma's army, but it's not a smart move. He wouldn't do so if he hadn't crushed the army before. Also its not very stupid, but rather clever. Mech scales with the army size. 5-7 tanks are less scary to engage than 16 by a lot. You easily need 3-4 times the army to engage such a tank count later on, if you can engage at all. Yes, it was a brute force move to end the game, but the backfire potential was huge, and IIRC he didn't break the rocks, which made it worse. The thing is, there really isn't much backfire potential. He knew that puma was light on tanks, so he could actually trade "decently enough", and he's on 2-3 base while puma is on 1. The backfire potential of letting a mech-er build up their deathball is imo a lot more.

There are so many amazing winner's bracket games and they are showing some loser's bracket match between select and some guy nobody has heard of. Why?

I don't know about that: his weakness is Korean zergs. But he looks very "inside his head" for a game that he blew with one mistake. It shouldn't shake him at all.

MLG asked 4x as much for 3 days as IGN does for a month... what do you expect?

That's the point. You can't unsiege all your tanks at the same time when your opponents army his at a striking distance. It is the difference between a bad mech player and a good one. Hence he isn't very good with mech.

This is just so wrong. Did you miss IEM World Championships? He beat MMA and then nearly beat MC

The winner open bracket quarterfinals is almost identical to GSL :O

It still blow my mind that Super Tournament was a 95k for winner tournament.
