This is not the place to talk about LoL viewership.
This is also not a place to caster bash/balance whine/flame, etc.
Please don't argue about how many views LoL has, or which game is better, or we will be upset. (added page 174)
Also, lay off Scarlett please. (added page 227) |

That's it.
Quite frankly, it's pathetic. Blows my mind how everyone else are that much worse than koreans.
I'm rooting for Scarlett though! :D The foreigner's scene is dead. It's going the same way as BW. Yeah, it really feels like it. Alot of the recent tournaments have been going this way with a very few guys trying desperately to hold the foreigner flag high. I prolly wouldn't call it dead as much as I'd call it just plain bad, though.
Although its obvious that the foriegn scene is, lacking for lack of a better word, to the Korean scene, this tournament doesnt have ALL of the best foriegn players. I believe ALL the mouz and all (minus violet) of the empire guys are chilling in the European tournaments instead. There are plenty of really good non koreans (Naniwa, Morrow, Thorzain, Mana, Hasu, Kas, Happy, hell even Xigua and Macsed) missing, where besides DRG and MVP, it looks like almost all the korean powerhouses are around

Right, except it made absolutely no sense for him to do that. He could have moved the tanks from the back up to the front, and he would have been MUCH safer as half of them would have been sieged at the front. Also he could have used some hellions in front. Don't get me wrong, it was obviously Puma's fault for unsieging all his tanks at once. But mech is still pretty frail, imo.
It's extremely frail, yes. If it wasn't it would be the only viable strategy though.

aaaaarg... just hurts to see Mech losing to Bio, especially when the bio player himself said that Mech is the better build

I'm glad I didn't pay for the subscription - MLG was better in every way this time around.
And MLG didn't have downtime? It had exactly the same problems with it and quality from this IPL is way better then MLG, even the 480p is freaking good, let alone the 720p @ 60fps which is pure awesomeness.
It had a bumpy start today with sound and color problems, but it's absolutely brilliant now and i love all the stats they are throwing around.

It's working now because he destroyed Puma's army, but it's not a smart move.
He wouldn't do so if he hadn't crushed the army before. Also its not very stupid, but rather clever. Mech scales with the army size. 5-7 tanks are less scary to engage than 16 by a lot. You easily need 3-4 times the army to engage such a tank count later on, if you can engage at all.

Biomech> mech, you get the mobility while still maintaining some positional advantages.

He made one mistake and got punished for it. The rest of the game was splendid. His positioning and his use of banshee, vikings were amazing.

He doesn't need to use his heatray vision to overheat the PC, it's using an AMD processor...

Yeah, very weird decision on which game they chose to air.. They should've handled the open bracket streams WAY better today. Stream2 is still black background and IPL logo for me. Chat works, and it is saddening, all those people being mad they saw like 4 Open Winner/Loser bracket games while bunch of amazing games are not getting streamed. :/ At least it seems live audience is enjoying, sucks there was absolutely no chance for me to be there. :/
It was up for a few minutes, then went black again. Sigh

Well, mech is unforgiving, and he shouldn't take shortcuts... can't unsiege tanks all at once. There's a process, like clockwork. Like MVP used to do.

Indeed, I mean he only really attacked puma like that because he knew that he just needed to keep the tank count low and expansions of puma low and he'd just eventually win. Being afraid to loose units in that situations is the worst thing a player can do, due to like you said the scaling of mech.
