It looked like it was going great for Genius and then he just lost the battle and I dont know how that happend. Im just kind of confused as to what I missed, did he tech to hard while expanding? What just happened is what most Protoss are crying about as of late, the zerg just traded mass roach for stalkers and sentries and the only real way to circumvent this as Protoss is to micro 2 fronts perfectly with good forcefields which is really difficult, this is the main reason we see a lot of 2 Base.

You need Sentries to reshape the positioning of the battle as head on roach vs stalker = roach win. He didn't have enough sentries to forcefield roaches away (not to mention he wasted quite abit) and he chose to engage in a really wide open area. And he didn't defend his gateway wall at his 3rd well enough.

I think it was his moveout in to the open middle area it gave the zerg an killing concave and his army just evaporated

I wonder who the 7 people STQ will take to Las Vegas ... Parting - Squirtle - Ace/Hack - Bomber - Sound - Curious - July ? I kinda doubt they will use any Quantic players even though Naniwa is a beast.

I mean, Bomber July Parting Curious Virus Squirtle Sound/hack/Ace should be who gets to go and perhaps his seemingly leader role might make them favor him over hack and sound why only 7??? only 7 airplane tickets sponsored?

And Hack hasn't played for them all season, so I can't really see them taking Hack over Ace.

Normally Genius is so good at holding two-pronged Roach attacks as well, totally fell apart there

This semi-final felt like the "foreigner" audience was getting some cut-rate production even though we're paying them good money. It's not something that will get me to stop purchasing the GSTL but, they really shouldn't leave the English casters "back home" like this ever again. It just looks and feels terrible.

MVP only had to win twice to get where they are, with no losses. FXO lost twice yes but also had to win 4 times (this is their 5th win) to get where they are.

I'm sure they know they messed up. GOM is usually really good. I'll forgive them this slip up.

Genius didn't have enough sentries, so when his energy ran out he got overwhelmed. Edit: Genius also didn't split his army very well against the multi-pronged attacks from Curious. Watch to see awesome army splitting in a kinda similar situation. You missed the part where Puzzle did early eco damage. Genius had to fake agression and the Zerg needed to overreact which Curious did not. If Zerg handled the fake agression correctly, they can max out much much faster and no amount of good forcefields or army splitting will help that.
