losing nearly his whole infrastructure - still winning with brood/infestor. I can't tell you how much I hate to see this. Only way for protoss is still playing these stupid (but effective) 2base allins.

He didn't engage. He was taking out a few spinecrawler when fungle prevented him to retreat. And mothership isn't a solution at all because it requires the zerg to make mistakes.

Doesn't really matter even Mothership is not really helping anymore. Zergs have learned to morph Overseers and how to counter Archon toilet by actually splitting or using infested terrans/banelings into the vortex. EDIT: Saurus is spot on ;-)

Wouldn't have mattered, Sheth just could have gone with muta's to Grubby's bases and kill tech and just target the mothership with infestors and it will die soon enough and then he would have won already. Protoss needs to be on one or 2 bases more then zerg and ahead the entire game otherwise forget about it in late game. Just go with 2 base allins in PvZ, then you have a much better chance.

EDIT: Saurus is spot on ;-) Protoss has to do two things to win vs. Zerg late-game. The first is they have to use star gate units. The second is they have to use a lot of HTs for storms and archons. Both are very gas heavy and this is a problem with Protoss - how do you get that much gas? That's the biggest issue in the MU right now.

They are good 3 base all-ins as well but ye, engaging in a straight macro game against Zerg is like trying to wrestle against a kodiak bear. In the end, broodlords/infestors are simply too cost-effective considering the macro-mechanics and usual lategame macro of Zerg. Protoss can't blindly exp on the whole map while teching like Zerg or they get demolished.

Had he kept his ~4 HTs with storm for the broods (or waited for the mship), he would have had a good shot. Also, expanding could be much sharper. tell me how u will ever reach broodlords with hts? you are quite funny sir. its quite obvious that protoss has a hard time in lategame vs massspine, mass brood and some infestors even WITH a mothership. I just dont like how the matchup is right now, it feels like protoss has to win in the first 16 minutes and has a decent shot at it, after that strange things have to happen for zerg to lose (e.g.: they dont know how to brofestor/spine turtle :D )

It's a positional dance, and Grubby could have done it much, much better. Or? *I mean, I realize it is harder on protoss, but I don't think that what we saw was 'imbalance'. The reason why grubby couldn't win after taking down sheths tech was that he lost his army and was down ~30-40 supply. Maybe it was imbalance that sheth couldn't just kill him at that point? Sheth did exactly nothing with the mutas and from there it was grubbys game to loose. As I see it.
