True, but his unit composition was really good. If he just tried to take a third himself, got upgrades, he probably wouldn't have been in that bad of a position.
Puma's Tank/Marine mix fairs really poorly later in the game, whilst MC's unit comp was exactly what he wanted

mc didnt have to attack. as soon as you see siege tank, get a colossus out and take a 3rd is a more solid option i think
i like FE=>tank openings in tvp tho. its so great lately since most toss players push quickly with sentry timings

He had observers - how do you mis-interpret? By not seeing it till too late, MC cut probes and when he actually saw the third base he was already behind 6 workers.

Against "greedy protoss" you just transition to 1-1-1.

Do you just purely rely on that SCV scout? If it gets denied then aren't you in a bad position?

Yeah. That, combined with MULEs from 3 OCs, makes it really hard to compete with the economy of Puma.
