Yeah, you can only blame the system, but the system is already pretty good.

Loses game 4, gets BMed by DRG in the booth. Makes mistakes in game 5, gets BMed again. Genius makes more mistakes than ever. The rest is history.
Mind games victory goes to DRG, and you can hear in Genius' speech what he thinks about that. Maybe building carriers is a bit BM but doesn't warrant mid game booth BMing. Considering how tight rules are ingame about chatting only reserved to pp and gg. In between game unspoken rules were broken by DRG imo. Going into another player's booth during a finals no less should not be considered acceptable. The gap at the top is so small and anything can affect you at the highest level. It really takes the shine of DRG's victory and first GSL. Now I look at him in a different light.
Should learn to take it and deal it back to him, imo.
You should hear the shit that regular athletes say to each other during a game, even professional athletes at the highest level.
This isn't golf.

TvZ, TvT, TvP, all great matchups imo with TvP the worst but still watchable.
Gogo MVP,MMA,Jjakji,Polt! No Gumiho and Alive? Not even a MKP. But yeah, happy we got a PvZ finals. Would unfortunately still prefer a terran in finals since those matchups are so much better figured out as a whole and interesting. I wonder what the big issue is with PvZ? I wonder if there's a big part of there still not being enough super high calibre Protoss or Zerg players in Korea, whilst Terran can easily list 10 off the bat?
MKP is a way better player than Jjakji, Polt and Alive. There. I said it.

How about Nal'rA? Won a single major championship in his life and didn't start military till Old Boy.
You don't have to be Golden Mouse to be in that club.

That was the best GSL season by far, probably had to do with the format change as well.

it's not blaming the system, it's an indication to how strong the competition in this tournament is.

There just aren't any Kongs in SC2 any more.
One does not simply "leave" the Kong line. Once you join you are forever solidified as a Kong. That applies to Fantasy, Jangbi, Stork and for SC2 MKP. MKP is the only player to make it to multiple (3) GSL finals and not win one.
And no, Winter Arena does not count when half the representation aren't even Korean players.

So am I the only one who enjoyed these finals? Yes, Genius made a lot of mistakes, but like most RTS, games are often decided by the mistakes you do and don't make. I found the games to be highly enjoyable, especially because of Genius's unorthodox play. It's definitely not the worst ever GSL finals, by far.

We all know MKPs gonna lose in the final since he never wins any major championships. So no, no MKP :D

You stirring up shit again ZenithM? Now we just need someone to come in and start saying Stephano is better than Nestea or Leenock.

Amazing!" instead of "This is already the greatest finals ever" after three games.
I don't even think they're lying. They acknowledge when finals aren't good, but do you expect them to say "damn that was a crappy finals", no they're just going to talk about something else. Tonight's series WAS excellent.

Ah DRG's story is like the ending of a movie, he gets the trophy, the cash and the girl.
Looking forward to the next season!

Probably then turns to his gf with a "What?"
