Apparently some people are dumb enough to STILL be asking for it, so let's make things clear:
Do NOT ask for re-streams, and do NOT post re-streams.
Do not come here and muddle the thread by bitching about PPV. |
Ehhhh, I mean I watched it a little bit for free and didn't think it's worth the money. MLG will be doing the better and real events for free still. Just don't feel like I'm missing anything since the lack of atmosphere and excitement like I'm used to, so waiting a week for VODs and replays is so much better than spending $20. I used to hate the fact that this even existed and hoped that it would fail, but honestly I don't even care anymore as long as other people don't start doing it also. That way, sick replay pack every now and then.

I wish there were more casters out there who know how to tell a story and build up a match rather than spouting out "Best player in the World" DC. Aye, aye.
They have their moments, but we really need the full story.

Sorry but what games are you watching, Genius totally outclassed MarineKing in their final games.... such ignorant statements. He will win next season of Code S trust me he only lost to a gimicky 2 base Deathball. He won't make the same mistake again MKP will show to all those who deny his true power that he is the true master. He was not outclassed, there was a 2 base collosus all in and the big protoss deathball in game 3.

So now that we know the seeds for MLG Columbus, is it possible to determine who is in what pool?
Also if 16 players have been seeded and 4 come from the open bracket does that mean MLG has reduced the size of the pool from 24 to 20?

Hes probably the best online player, having 70%+ win ratio and #1 on korean ladder for all the seasons so far. 80% last season i believe with number 1 rank by miles in points. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. MKP is awesome but I wouldn't put him on the level on an MMA or an Alive quite yet.
LOL Alive???? really? MKP out played his ass at the first group stages. Talking about no getting ahead of ourselves, one OK tournament from Alive and he is a top player?

And Choya will win the next Code S after that... Trust me ! MKP just outsmarted DRG, that's it. I wouldn't read too much into it.

That last game Marineking just went for a roll of the dice, and prayed DRG wouldn't scout, and it payed off. If DRG had scouted the third, he could have won easily with a roach push, so it is his fault. It was still sad to see though. EDIT: In retrospect, I disagree with what I wrote. I was just angry.

I paid for HSC3 and that was worth every penny(I didn't for 4, but I was contemplating it). The environment on HSC was more entertaining and let the community see the players in a very casual nature. Here's the difference. HSC had free streams at a lower quality. MLG Arena basically forced people to cough up $ to watch, and not at what I or others would consider a reasonable price point, $10 is fine, anything higher Iike $15 or $20 don't justify worth paying. Come back when you have a proper example to counteract, or don't bother. Oh and at least in HSC, there's a bar 1 level below and they have shown bar patrons root and cheer for various players. You don't get that in this MLG.

Yeah, they're smart enough to figure out how to circumvent paying for a PPV event, and hypocritical enough to express moral outrage when MLG uses a photo from liquipedia without getting permission from the person who took it.

Did they? Honest answer, no. Although, the quality of the games was very, very good. I hope they got a lot of promotional materials out of them for the upcoming events but we really didn't see anything noteworthy of why they were there. Lan/latency would be great. Yet we still have players d/cing and MLG tried to accomodate and give them the best conditions to play. We could have seen the talent used a little more better. Grubby and Sheth casting was a nice addition. Dont even compare the disconnect we saw to cross server play. Cross server play should never be used honestly. It puts everything into a big crap shoot. Also certain players would be playing at horrible times. Tgose two reasons alone make it worth it to fly the players in

Zergs 6pooled into macro play all weekend against Protoss. The 2rax with bunkers is a much, much tamer version of that. God these threads are depressing. Everybody just wants to get some bitching out in the form of pretending to comment on a tournament.
