yeah, 2rax bunker rushing is solid macro play!
The only cheese including bunkers was on metalopolis, the other ones were all 12/14 rax, without cutting VCE's and even if got scouted, it was hardly a game breaker for MKP.
This exactly. 12/14 is not cheese at all, it's just light pressure that can do damage if the zerg doesn't respond correctly. All it really did for MKP was put him in a slightly better position and scared DRG into playing ultra safe in that last game.

It's not cheese even if MKP's not expanding. Its a reaction to hatch first. Every terran should open this way to hatch first. Just like every zerg should six pool nexus first.

The line-up was pretty stacked, many people have said it's the most difficult tournament they have been in. Many meaning, HuK.

admittedly i only caught a few games of MLG, but it was kinda disappointing. it might as well have been an online cup... a dark empty studio isn't a 'lan' event... where is the excitement and drama?
the final wasn't really riveting either. pretty one-sided and dull games. bunker your natural i win? cool... greedy 3rd base 2/2 push i win? cool.

Seriously. I never understood the SC2 community's fanatical hatred of cheese. In BW it was accepted as part of the game. Almost every single player did it from time to time. It was just part of the overall strategy of winning a series.

It is most certainly not cheese, you can macro just fine out of it.
stop complaining about the lack of prize ceremony, they're all usually incredibly awkward and lame anyway. The games and production value of this tournament were, without a doubt, worth $20. If you compare this content to other entertainment I think you would find that it makes sense. Go to the movies and you're immediately out $10 plus popcorn and drinks, and the gas to get you there. This was 3 days worth of hours upon hours of gameplay, casting, and interaction, that definitely warranted a PPV model.

PS - GO DEMUSLIM and glad minigun took a game off Huk but he could have taken him out, Huk didn't perform well.

despite the big players, this kind of event should not be repeated, especially not as a ppv event. MKP wins a stacked event, no hype, no applause, a boring interview, not even a prize ceremony. why bring players there. could as well be played online.

MKP will become the best player in the world once he finally defeats his nerve issues at live events. Hes probably the best online player, having 70%+ win ratio and #1 on korean ladder for all the seasons so far.
80% last season i believe with number 1 rank by miles in points.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. MKP is awesome but I wouldn't put him on the level on an MMA or an Alive quite yet.

Are the regular MLGs all expenses paid? Because it was only those 4 invited koreans that got expenses paid in 2011, right? Not the pool players...
top 16 arena gets all expense paid trip to the championship event (they also get seeded into the pool play)
I mean obviously for the first event, not the champ event. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Just wondering about if those seeds will all actually be used up, since last year plenty of koreans didn't really seem to care much about the points for the last event.
im not sure what your talking about but I already made it clear top 16 of winter arena gets all expense paid trip to MLG columbus championship and will be seeded into pool play (it doesn't matter if your korean or not, there is no exchange program)
It was a great tournament as MLG usually is, but it wasn't worth the $20. I feel bad for those who paid for it only to watch it by yourself. They need to settle on a much more reasonable price point, because as it is, its not worth is...
